Got a question, hope someone can answer... Website listing Medifast recipes depending on which ingredients you have? Thanks for any answer or 2. Another question on my mind: Ughhh.. today I need to vent...

I am almost 6 weeks post op (Wednesday) I have only lost 34 pounds since.

Surgery.

.. Now I must say I am watching my clothes sizes go down but the scale is moving VERY slowly...

Secondly I had Ulcer issues and am still struggling with that..

Chicken, unless it's teriaki chicken, comes right back up and hurts bad...

I am chewing.. in fact I get to see it again, I am going slow...

Last night I woke up with dry heaves.. which my dr said is probably because of saliva...the foamies I keep hearing everyone talk about...

I lost my lunch.. tried chicken for the 3rd time..won't be trying it again for a while...

I still feel like a patient..I go back in Thursday for another endoscopy.. and my dr already said don't be surprised if it is still there because I won't be. SERIOUSLY I have been taking this nasty medicine for 2 1/2 weeks...

I guess I'm just frustrated.. not sure what to eat.. he said I really need to focus on protein because I am only able to get about 4 ounces in and that's if it stays...

Seriously I feel like I take 4 steps forward and 5 back.. I probably sound like I am feeling sorry for myself.. I guess I am no one seems to understand but you guys...

Please help knock my rear back into reality and out of this funk....

My gift to you Moist Chicken. Slice it on the diagonal very thin and use cream of.

Chicken soup.

For gravy! You will not lose it!.

But tofu, in many forms, is the perfect meat substitute and takes on the flavor of what you make it with. Tofu "crumbles" will stand for any ground meat recipe....

Ground chicken and quinoa meatballs also very edible..

Beans with celery, carrots, green pepper and onion (brown first) and turkey bacon in the crockpot are terrific!.

Egg salad very friendly and shakes, of course...

Lunch meat is one of my go to foods if I have to eat, but my tummy doesn't feel like it. Ham or turkey deli meat rolled up with a little cheese and I sometimes throw a thin slice of pickle in there. Have you tried greek yogurt? Tons of protein in a small amt. I buy a big container of it, then do individual servings with a little splenda and smashed up blueberries, yummy. Shelly's ricota bake is really good also. If all else fails drink a protein shake.

Hugs to you..

I'm right there with you, I have the foamies with everything I eat or drink, Dr thought I might have a stricture, but didn't so we are right back where we started. It is very frustrating, but everyone says it will go away... I just want to know when that day will get here. With the chicken try cooking it in broth, it makes it alot moister and is easier to eat. Good luck and keep pushing forward...

Hang in there. It gets better. I am about 11 weeks post op and I can't eat chicken. The only thing I can eat that stays down is shrimp, talipia, egg beater/cheese and peanuts...

Oh, and dont stress about the weight loss. 34 pounds in 6 weeks is great! I mean really...when else in your life have you lost the weight of a toddler in 6 weeks. You are doing great, make sure you take pics...that's where you will see the changes...

Hang in there. you're doing great! In teh next weeks you'll be able to tolerate a lot more. I can usually eat chicken ok and have been able to for mos (8 mos post op) but I seem to feel best with fruits and vegetables, nut and fish. steak is always questionable for me. I don't throw anything up but it just doesn't feel great sometimes. Again, it'll get so much easier and your selection of foods will increase tremendously...

Aleishaj,.

Girl, I am right there with you! I have only lost 30 lbs in 9 1/2 weeks. I had the gastric sleeve, but I have not been able to lose a lb in over 2 weeks. I keep thinking ~ any day now! Hang in there. Maybe our bodies are just in a state of shock and need a little more time to adjust. Let me know how you are doing in a couple of weeks. Maybe the scale will move for both of us!..
