First question I got is Weight Watchers or Nutrisystem? U have to choose? Thanks in advance for any response. Second question.. I have a friend that recently lost a little of weight. The route that he chose was gastric bypass, but that was at the advice of his doctor. He truly was tipping the scales at just under 500 pounds so they thought it was the appropriate action..

Since then, he's lost the weight, runs marathons and triathalons. I'm very proud of the work he's done..

The funniest thing that he said was - "I lost weight in my feet! I didn't know that I didn't really wear a size 12... I now wear size 10's".

So, I have to ask the question - has anyone noticed a decrease in their shoe size?..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I discover an useful answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could assist you..

I deinitely have. I had to get wide shoes and now, I really don't need them...and it's only 40 lbs...so I can see if you were 100lbs.

Ever see kankles? makes sense, right......

Acoustic - I have noticed that my wide shoes are fitting more losely. More in the width and not in the length. Obviously as someone else said here there is not as much pressure on my feet so maybe they are not spreading out as much. But I really relates to the water intake and how our bodies retain less water. Just my thoughts. I have not bothered to research...

Under heavy weight your arch flattens making your feet wider and to a lesser extent longer. Lighter weight allows the arch to rise, so smaller feet (but a little higer instep). I'll take the trade off...

I had a motorcycle ax a few years ago that resulted in a fx of the left foot. Getting down from 452, I notice that my feet are thinner and that the middle knuckle in the ball of my left foot is more pronounced. You will find you will lose fat in odd places. Note that a lot of guys have commented that their wedding rings have a hard time staying on, even if they are nowhere near a strip club. However, I also find it reasonable that the lessened weight causes less flatting and elongation of the foot...

My wedding ring fell off my hand twice yesterday. And I was no where near a strip club. The second time was really scary. It fell is pile of fluffy snow as I was getting to my car. Fortunately, I was able to find it. I left it at home today...

So, you planned to go to the strip club today?..

My shoes do feel bigger...never thought about losing weight there. I am about ready for new shoes anyway..

My wedding ring hasn't quite fallen off, but it is very loose. My watch band is also pretty loose. Not quite sure if I will do anything about it at this point..

You will find that your "fat" shoes are too big. I now buy the same size I used to, but they don't stretch out now...

Hmm havent noticed any shrinking feet. Would be nice if I did though. Having to find 4EE shoes can be a hassle...

1 inch for every 10 pounds... but that's not so much growth as much as fat going away that surrounds your.....

I lost about one shoe size when I lost 50lbs...

I wear boots and my calfs have gotten smaller..

With 100 # loss, shoes still fit, little loser..

I can tie laces w/o a high. (ie all the blood going to my head).

I can even bend over and tie my shoes now while standing up!..

If it's 1 inch for every 10 lbs, daoneth now neighs instead of talking!..

Actually the rule of thumb (or whatever) is 1 inch for every 30#'s..

I actually went from a negitive to a positive..

Keep in mind however the excess skin still does remain in that area..

The skin does easily compress during usage extending length...

Thanks for the correction! Didn't want to give anyone any false hopes... but if the 1 inch for every 10 pounds was true, we would be a country of health nuts!..
