Just show up on those days! Walk the stairs. Do leg lifts in bed. Keep cans by you chair and lift them during commercials...Anything counts! I could only walk from my chair to the Bathroom a few short months ago. One day at a time, just do something.....
Walked around the cul-de-sac which took me 10mins...walked up and down a few stairs and took a short walk again maybe 3 mins...

Just try and find a hill, anything uphill is better than level. FYI ppl, long downhill walks help extend your natural stride. The deal is to cover as much distance asap with each say 1000 strides..

Lu, We went out scoping some downhills in the neighborhood bt car..
The ones that hve a little uphill now and then, and continue down again are the easiest to start. We use two cars, one at the top and one at the bottom..
Can't wait to be able to walk wherever and not worry how I am going to get my ass back home!..
One of the good things about living here in the mountains of Kentucky.it seems like everything is ALWAYS uphill!.
I walked for 30 minutes down my road.still have left knee pain on the uphill parts, but I am sure that is going to get better...

I went to the gym which I try to go three times a week. I do the treadmill, bicycle, rowing machine and different weight machines for my upper body. Today took a "Spinning Class " for the first time and that sure was a lower body workout. I will be sore tonight in bed. I have so much more energy now that I have lost 63 lbs...
2 miles on treadmill (30 min)15 on elliptcal (hate that machine but it does the butt good). tonite is a three mile walk around my hilly town!!..
