My 1st question is: What are some good dog food/Medifast recipes, because my maltese is a very fussy eater? Thanks in advance for any response. My 2nd question... Now whenever I have to drink my last protien shake of the day, I get sick just thinking about it. Any suggestions on what brands may taste a little better to help me get it down? I am doing well, I have lost 11.6 punds since Monday so I don't want to quite but I almost threw up last night trying to get another shake down. Thanks for the help!!!..

Unjury with Crystallite and water works best for me...

Carnation insant breakfast...8 oz milk...1/3 cup non-fat dry milk =20 grams of protein.

This is the only way I have found that works for me. I tried unflavored protein powder and to me it stll had taste and it was NASTY!..

This too shall pass. This was probably the worst time for me because I was trying to fill my big, original stomache. I couldn't, mentally, get past the fact that someone was telling me I couldn't have something. (I am a stubborn girl and didn't like to be told I couldn't have something...it made me want it more)..

Instant Carnation (sugar free kind) was a very good thing. Also, Adkins Advantage was good too. After.

Surgery.

, these things will taste so different to you..

Also, try sugar free popsicles for a treat. Yum!..

Surgery.

Or post.

Surgery.

? I am pre op so I am on week 5 of the luquid only diet. I am on the medifast shake program through my bariatric Drs office. I drink the dutch chocolate, and french vanilla shakes. I have to mix them with water. I know what your.

Talking.

I no what you mean I am lacking in that department I try to eat my prot and that does not always work but since I have read the replies I will be trying the carnation...

During the pre-op phase I used medifast dark chocolate shakes, hot chocolate, tropical punch - all mixed in the blender with water & ice (and sometimes SF ( and calorie free) syrups or instant.

Coffee.

). Also drank the chai mixed in iced tea. I supplemented one protein shake a day - Jay Robb Whey chocolate protein pwd mixed in NF milk tasted good to me then (can't stomach it now however.).

Remember this is temporary. I thought of my preop program as medicine that would get me on my way to wellness. I don't expect medicine to taste great, but I take it anyway. Protein shakes aren't my favorite now, but they are my primary source of protein right now, so I sip it down like medicine..

Hope.

This helps!..
