Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an decent answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably know..

Extreme stress (.
And diet) can also cause an excess of premature gray hair, so don't be surprised if you see an increase.....
I color my hair and have had no problems. Never asked whether I should or not... just vain I guess and took the chance lol!..

Thanks for all the info. :-) you guys are great! I'm so glad I found this site..
You are all so great - sort of like a Magic Eight Ball or a Ouija Board! I more than a couple of times have asked myself a question like.... say... what about coloring my hair post op? And then I log on to this site and WHAM someone has asked exactly the same question and you all have posted responses - fact based answers, logical opinions, personal experiences and funny quips! Good to know ya!.
Now i'm gonna go color my hair. Maybe i'll have to start a thread next week - "Anyone Shaved Their Head?" hahahahahaha...
Just colored mine this morning. At over 3 months out I still have my hair but I've also been diligent with getting my protein in, taking biotin and using Nioxin shampoo. So far so good for me too!..
