My question is What are some healthy, but good snacks and Medifast recipes? Many thanks for any comment. 2nd question I got is.. Just wanted to put my vent in.

Man, I dunno if I'm getting ready for a visit from Aunt Flo or what, but I have had the urge to eat all day long today. Normally I'm fine once I eat, but today I just want to eat and eat and eat. I'm NOT, mind you, but I WANT to very badly. This is a first for me at a year out..

Usually when I get hungry I feel it physically in my pouch, but this time it's more like head hunger, I think. I opted for a 100 calorie bag of those yummy Emerald Cocoa Almonds and am now having a protein shake to see if that curbs my cravings. I usually will chew a piece of gum, but decided not to since chewing made me think about eating something..

Here's what I've eaten so far today:.

Waking: hot tea x3 (6oz ea).

At work:.

(20 oz).

Breakfast: 1c. low-carb protein packed cabbage stew (will post recipe next, it is delish!).

In between: pushing fluids (water w/4C tea powder).

Lunch: Around 4.5oz cooked Shrimp w/cocktail sauce.

(pushing fluids - 4c tea powder in water).

Snack: 100 calorie pack almonds, protein shake.

In the meantime I'm just fighting off the hunger monster.. maybe if I push more fluids and water load more.. I dunno. Just needed to put it out there..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I got an decent answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could assist you..

I feel your pain! How do you deal with that dangling in front of you all day when you're feeling like that?.

I just pushed a lot of fluids until I was full after I drank a protein shake.. then I was too full to even think about it. I have very strong discipline and.

, luckily, I just do my best to ignore it. It wasn't easy at all today though!.

!! It sure takes it to get through sometimes!.

Gum?? I am scared of chewing gum. I was told if you happen to swallow it, it has to be surgically removed??!!..

I just don't swallow it. :) I chew it and spit it out. I've never 'accidentally' swallowed a piece of gum, and even when I COULD swallow it I never did because I was paranoid about it being in my stomach for 7 years. lol Urban legends...

I quit smoking 5 years ago, and now with not being able to eat like I used to, use gum to keep my mouth busy throughout the day..

Want someting close to popcorn? I discovered butter flavored rice cakes. Not exactly popcorn, but something crunchy and has some of that buttery flavor. They don't have many calories either. I like them. Try them. In your supper market they are by Quaker.

They are really dry, but can keep in your drawer at work..

I helped in some way. Cool weather stimulates me to want more to eat too. Please let me know if you decided to try them. Thanks..

Good for you for staying away from the popcorn! Some days it isn't easy! But nothing worth having is ever easy is it?.

Maybe next time you can ask her to move them to a less conspicuous location in a breakroom maybe or in front of someone else?.
