Does anyone know how to put an image on the main page that rotates with different ones but each has a link to a catagory..

I suppose like a rotating banner that changes every so often.

Any advise greatly appreciated.

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an decent answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..

I did something like that on a basic site.

Click Here.

The iPage site is nothing to write home about and will eventually be updated once I have finished updating other better things..

Ok this is just a basic JavaScript rotate for image.

<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">.

Var mfsites = [.

['ttc.htm', 'images2/ttc2.jpg'],.

['wbu.htm', 'images2/wbu2.gif'],.

['tae/index.htm', 'images2/wfn2.jpg'],.

['leu.htm', 'images2/leu2.jpg'],.

['wolfen.htm', 'images2/wlf2.gif'],.

['wsu.htm', 'images2/wsu2.gif'],.

['wdu.htm', 'images2/wdu2.gif'],.

['WlfTechServ.htm', 'images2/wts2.gif'],.

['lec/index.htm', 'images2/lec2.jpg'],.

['layers/index.htm', 'images2/vos2.gif'],.

['wxu.htm', 'images2/wxu2.jpg'].

];.

Var mfIe = false;.

If( document.all) {.

MfIe = true;.

}.

Var mfsitesIndex = 0;.

Function mfsitesChange() {.

Var htmlString = '<a target="_blank" href="'+mfsites[mfsitesIndex][0]+'"> <img border="0" src="'+mfsites[mfsitesIndex][1]+'"></a>';.

If( mfIe) {.

Document.all.sites.innerHTML = htmlString;.

}.

Else {.

Document.layers["sites"].document.open();.

Document.layers["sites"].document.write( htmlString);.

Document.layers["sites"].document.close();.

}.

If(mfsitesIndex < mfsites.length - 1).

MfsitesIndex++;.

Else.

MfsitesIndex = 0;.

}.

SetInterval("mfsitesChange()", 5000);.

</script>.

<div id="sites" style="position:absolute; top:122px; left:258px; width: 245; height: 180;"></div>.

It consists of the script itself with the individual images set.

['ttc.htm', 'images2/ttc2.jpg'],.

Where the first part is the link and the second part the image..

Then there is the container.

<div id="sites" style="position:absolute; top:122px; left:258px; width: 245; height: 180;"></div>.

In this case absolute positions have been used to determine where the container appears on the page, also the dimmensions of the container are given here..

You can adjust the time frame for rotation with the setInterval and you can choose the image to start the rotate with the mysitesIndex..
