Not to completely derail this thread but that game with Texas might be the game of the year. Im looking forward to it. Sadly I don't think my Wildcats will be pushed as hard during the regular season...

Looking over some of the other charts here.... it looks very possible to lose 60ish pounds in 3 months starting at 280 pounds..

I haven't been 220 pounds since.... well, it has to be like 12 or 13 years. Wow. My wife will have a fit!..

It's possible, but keep your goals reasonable. I lost about 40lbs in my first 2 months and then had a drop off to about 8-10 per. But the last 2 months include some major holidays and cheats... If not for that I likely would have dropped 55-60 in three. It seems the really hard part comes after we hit our goals.....

I'm down a bit over 7. Of course, that's only half of what I added over the holidays..

Starting at 238 and headed for 185 for my first goal...

Nice start, I think we're all glad the holidays are over. I allowed a free for all on Thanksgiving followed by too many goodies in December. I predict you will be at your goal by tax time!..

U could lose 60 but remember as you get closer to goal, you'lll losses will slow down literally because there is less fat to burn, right? look at some of the guys who track their weight in charts, the steep splope of weight loss begins to level out...i guess that's when you are at goal - aka gordon..

Gotta be careful with loss rates. They really do vary widely with individuals and even vary individually w/proximity to goal. 20 lbs first month with 10lbs/month thereafter is a good "target" for many guys, but that kind of info can be very misleading and discouraging for folks who lose slower. Some lose faster. Nutrisystem disclaimer "results not typical" used to bug me, but it's so true..

Nicely done Nexus! Do not get discouraged if you only lose 6 next week. You lost some water weight in this number. Stay tight to the plan...

Just a suggestion, but maybe it would be better to concentrate on how many days of the week you were 100% on the plan. If you make that your goal, you don't set yourself up for quite the disappointment at the scale...

It's the best way to go, 100% as much as possible..

Also small goals are good - get below 250, get below 240, get below 230, get 1/2 way, get below 210, 200, etc you get the drift..

See, so you can feel a goal being achieve - 9 lbs? at your weight? 15-18 days i'de say...as long as you are 100% and get some exercise....at least thats what happened to me...good job!..

First day on the program and so far so good. I'm a little picky when it comes to food so I'm a little concerned I won't like the food. I was pleased with my blueberry muffin this AM so lunch will be another test. I'm watching the Vikings where a beer and chips would normally be instore. I almost delayed starting until tomorrow. I'm glad I didn't..

Great job on starting Dave. I started to put it off until after this weekend, but decided to get going and am so glad I did. Today is day 3 for me and it's going well..

I'm a picky eater also, and other than the Cinnamon Bun I had on day one, I've enjoyed everything I've eaten so far (for me the potato wedges and steak I had last night was very good. I'm not big on sauces but I really enjoyed it)..
