I was in 9 of the first 12 days...in 6 then out 3, then in for 3...all because of an infection...they had to search around to find meds that would work for me, because I am allergic ( severely) to penecillin..

They were.

Running.

Antibiotics IV, as hard as they would go..twice the normal time...mine was an incision site wound come to find out, but from the inside, so we could not see it..I say we, but it was really they could not see it....and I had no pain either....

Just hang in there, and let them fix you now...better to stay than to get home and have to go back...that sucked...I mean it really sucked...been there, done that...

What you are experiencing is not the norm, but does happne. My partner had GBS on 7/27. He was one big infection machine until last week when the last of the foriegn objects in his body were gone. A post-op infection is a serious deal, so do what they tell you and be very assertive about your care and understanding what is going on...

I wish you well. I am 5 weeks post op with no complications. I agree, listen to what they say and stay there, post op infections are dangerous. I do not think that my Dr did anything with my old stomach but I may be wrong.....

I idid well while in hospital, came home the day after.

Surgery.

But one of my incisions got infected about a 2 weeks later and almost ruptured. I had to have incision re-opened and packed for 2 weeks. Be glad yours hit while still in hospital, they can take better care of you there. Hang in there,.

Hope.

You're better soon and out of that hospital...

I'm sorry you're having to deal with the complications. My best to you. This isn't the "norm", but it is a major.

Surgery.

And complications happen. It sounds like the complications have been identified and are being treated. I wish you a great recovery, and I'll save you a spot on the Loser's bench!.

Knock on wood, I didn't have any complications with the.

Surgery.

Keep your head up and know you will get through this and it will be a distant memory soon. Sending you some prayers for quick healing. Let us know how you are doing, ok?.

FWIW... Sometimes this helps me - I try to be patient and tell my body that I trust and support it. It's not necessarily for everyone but it works for me. :-)..

Guess I am geeting cabin fever. He had me drink 32 oz of contrast then did a CT Scan. Said the by pass looks good but there is a pool that will have to be drained keeping me yet another day..

We'll see.Hospital is such an "unwarm" place to heal...

I was in the hospital for 5 then home for 3 then back in for 3 then home for 1 and back in for 7, now I am home hopefully to stay. I had A LOT of trouble with nausea and vomitting and actually diagnosed a ulcer. Once I got that under control it has been smooth sailing now for about a week. Listen to what the Drs say as they no best, and take time to heal. Soon all that you are going thru will only be a memory that you will want to forget while you are loosing!! Best wishes and prayers your way...
