I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an decent answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could help you..
It is just air in your tummy! It is you new tummy getting use to it's new self. You are fine.... you also swallow air when sleeping, it is a lot smaller now... Hugs! I almost called to see how you were doing yesterday??? But I saw you and my computer locked up.... too funny. Glad you are doing well..
Don't know when your.
Was, but I had a lot of gas in the first six weeks after.
Now at 2 1/2 months out I don't have nearly as much. My surgeon was pretty sure that it was swallowed air..
We were laughing the first few days after.
When the sounds were so loud we could hear them in the next county! The only Medifast food that so far has caused me a lot of gaseuos emmissions is cream of buckwheat cereal (same as cream of wheat w/o the gluten) which is on our list of full liquids ok'ed for the first couple weeks. Both times i've tried it I have been SO FULL OF GAS I thought I would surely explode. Came out ok in the end! Guess it's not really something my body appreciates. Been taking.
, digestive enzymes and had some kefir today too. My motto in this area is - keep it moving! Small downside - have to be sure i'm sitting on the porcelain throne when I release the gas - just being safe! HA!..
I love the girly girl comment...totally describes how I am. Right before I was released from the hospital, my discharge nurse told all my family that was there "You all better just get used to farts and burps." Then looked me dead in the eyes and stated "I don't care how girly you think you are...if you have to burp or fart...do it! I don't care if Jesus himself is in the room, you fart until you feel better!" Needless to say, I was completely mortified...and thankful that gas isn't an issue with me, cuz it wouldn't have happened like that. lol..
Tummy noises are bery normal. Sometimes it sounds like an alien trying to get out! Everyone thinks initially it's because I am hungry, but it's not. It actually happens later when the stomach acids that used to mix with your Medifast food in your stomach actually dump into the smallintestine and begin the process lower in your GI tract than it did before your guts were rearranged. Get used to it. It is normal!.
I actually scared the cat who was sitting across the room. I think she thought a lion was purring..
Yes I agree that my stomach sounds like a drain pipe but I can live with that but it's sometimes a bit strange...
