Got a quick question: What iPage web hosting/design can I use for a simple web store? Looking forward for any response. Second question.. Http://

I am trying to create a new form, without the help of Frontpage, b/c I hate it, and I cannot figure it out, and I figure that this will probably be the lesser of 2 evils..

I have 2 questions on the form that I have created at the above address..

1. is there a way to make it so that AFTER I click the submit button that it goes to another page (http......./thanks.html)(frontpage had a way of doin it but it was in some weird code that I cannot figure out, you try it... it's at form.html).

2. the other thing is, when I received the email, it was almost like it was sent to me as an attachment. is there a way to just display the whole thing in the email like previously? (i like the fact though that the email address of the person that sends the form is revealed, but if it has to be eliminated, then so be it).

Feel free to contact me here in the forum or if you need more info at.

Thanks for all of the help..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I find an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could answer your iPage question..

That is the default for sending a form using <FORM METHOD="POST".

However, as I also mentioned you need to be sure your webhosting provider allows the use of cgi..

That is funny, it is because you told it to...

I guess that I am phrazing the problem that I am having incorrectly..

Try clicking on the submit button.... for some reason it asks if it is OK to send your email address.....

I dont get it really....

Please let me know what you think..

Thanks again..

I don't quite get whats going on here but if you want to be emailed I find that php is the best way to go... Take this script give it a go and see what you think. u'll need to open it in text pad first, to edit it...

Click the submit button on.

That is where my problem lies..

I downloaded the zip file.... where do I put the form code into that code?.

If I am being a pain in the hind.... and somebody feels that I just need to be helped on a one to one basis, feel free to email me at.

Lol... I forgot sorry bout that put this in a .html page.

<form method="POST" action="">.

<p>Your Name:<br>.

<input type="text" name="sender_name" size=30>.

<p>Your E-Mail Address:<br>.

<input type="text" name="sender_email" size=30>.

<textarea name="message" cols=30 rows=5></textarea>.

<input type="submit" value="Submit">.

You can add and take away things at lesiure... if you don't know how which I suspect you do i'll do it since I have nothing better to do...

On the feedback.php file that I downloaded, it has some code that I do not understand (actually I dont understand any of it, I have never seen anything liek it before, but I think I figured out most of it..

Echo "<html><title>Form Sent!</title>";.

Echo "this is a total test";.

Echo "<p>Your feedback has been sent.</p>";.

Echo "</center></body></html>";.

I understand what all of the above stuff does..

I want the page though to have a background etc (just like the page attached is the file in which I tried to do that, and it gives me an error..

Is there a way to make it automatically goto that link when I click the submit button?.

What language is the php form in?.

When it sends me the email, is there a way to make it so that whatever is input in the "email field" on the form, is put in the "reply to" section that is in every email?.

Sorry to be a pest...

You will have a lot of errors in that file. you have 2 body tags in there and the echo's need a closing "; which it doesn't..

IF you use mailto: in the forms action, YOU will get the box that comes up and says "you are sending...." no way around that..

If you are ging to use that php script then you will need to edit it and fix the errors..

Also in echo's you can't have " as you have to escape them out like this \"..

Is there a way that you can show me what you are talking about? I am so completely confused about this whole matter...

Ok, this is the shorter of the ones you added..

Echo "<body bgcolor="#000000" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" vlink="#FF3300" alink="#FFFF00">.

You need it to be like this.

Echo "<body bgcolor=.

" leftmargin=.

" topmargin=.

" marginwidth=.

" marginheight=.

" vlink=.

" alink="#FFFF00">.

Then the rest will need to look like that if they are in the echo command...

Here it was easier for me to just do it...

With the other HTML code do I have to do that?.

What language is this?.

Is there an easier thing that I can do?..

The zip file that you attached doesnt appear to have any changes?????..

Really? look again..

I changed my mind and did something easier. I just added a ?> rigth after the mail() and then erased all the echo"'s..

There are still "echo""s should I just delete them?.

I tried deleting it... there was just one left.... maybe it was just overlooked.....

I tried running the page afterwards.... and when I hit submit I get the following message.

Parse error: parse error, expecting `T_STRING' or `T_VARIABLE' or `T_NUM_STRING' in /www/c/carpenoctem/cgi-bin/Feedback2.php on line 3..

Ahh sorry I forgot one. ok I also always forget to fix that error so this will work...

Thank YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!! IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I really appreciate all of your help..

If you dont mind I have just one more question.....

On the page

There are 2 sets of radio buttons.

How do I program the radio button code?..

What is the code you ahve for the radio buttons?..

<input type="radio" name="update" value="I want to know about updates" checked>.

I want to know about updates <br>.

<input type="RADIO" name="update" value="I do not want to know about updates">.

I do not want to know about updates<br>.

Add this at the top with the rest.

$msg .= "Update: {$_POST['update']} ";..
