Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can answer it..
Its a bit confusing, but at the bottom of the attributes page, you select which product you are going to add attributes too, then select which attribute, price, etc...
I personally would go look for an attributes contribution that makes it easier to add attributes to your products. I use the attributes manager (makes a new page where you select product, then just hit check boxes and fill in prices for which ever attribute you want for your product.), I also us the attributes sorter and copier v5 which is awsome!. Just enter in all your attributes and then when you start adding in products (or go to an already entered product) at the bottom of the page will be a gird for the attribuets to add and modify. you can also copy the attributes to other products, etc.. and set the sort order of the attributes as they show on the customers pages..
I agree, but thought to just answer the basic question first.
In my list of best ofs for attributes management there is also the option type contribution, attribute sets (eg for clothing store) and mine of course..
Noumi, depending on the kind of store you are building you might also need to consider other module that extend the attributes functionality...
I have looked at the option type contribution, but didn't know if it would work with what I already have (options as images, plus the attribute maganer, and copier/sorter) would you know if it works? I would love to add it so that I can have ppl enter in what they would like engraved, etc.. on their products..
Is your contribution the side-by-side comparison? It is a great addon!!.
And yes I do agree with the attribute sets (which after looking at things I think I need to install to make it easier and quicker to enter in new products)..
As you can see Noumi, attributes are a BIG thing here LOL. If you have questions please let us know..
The option type contribution is quite a heavy installation but worth the effort..
Attribute manager is completely independent from option types and works fine..
I don't have the sorter yet, nor do I have options as images. But I do have to do some upgrades in that area, so I'll see if I can figure the answer out easily/fast in the next couple of days..
Ofcourse, if anybody else has the answer - it would be greatly appriciated.
Yes it is, thank you...
