First of all What is a good iPage web host that is free? Thanks for any answer or 2. Another question... I installed the download controller contrib and I have a problem downloading any files in the "My Account" Area..

I did a test as a buyer. After changing my payment status to enable the download, the links show OK. However, when I click any download links in the "My Account" Area they all return errors..

MP3 files return.

PDF files return ".

I uploaded the files into the download folder using ftp and they are there. I even tried to change permissions from 644 to 755 even 777 nothing works. The product options have been set to DOWNLOAD and point to the correct filename..

What could be the problem. This happened before the contrib and even after...

What about your pub directory, is that also at 777?..

Thanks a lot. It works!.

The folder named 'Pub' also has to be set to 777..

It's funny because no documentation in the download controller contrib mentions this file permissions. I would have been in hell if you did not help me..

I tested this using the following file formats.PDF, .DOC & .MP3 and they worked great. I am yet to test with other formats like, .wmv, mpg, mpeg etc..

Thanks all for the help...

The Catalog/download folder is set to 777 for permissions. I still incur the download errors...
