I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I find an anything. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..
I would think as a customer I would like to be able to order 5 gifts, fill out 5 different gift cards, then send it all out to 5 different addresses for christmas or any other time, have 1 bill and let the store take care of the rest. It would suck to have to order the same thing 5 times and pay 5 different times as a customer. I'm trying to make it as easy as possible and I have seen this in other sites and it has got nothing but good reviews. What downside would be to this? It would be a gift so that recipents dont get a invoice (maybe just a gift reciept), they just get a gift. Only the buyer would recieve the invoice with all 5 products on it. How is that bad?.
Thanks for comments,.
The bad part is the way the credit card companies now do things, and it is for the customer benifit, when they see something being ordered and it is being sent all over the place and it is coming from an internet store, it throws up red flats...
How would that be different than the customer ordering the product 5 times with 5 transactions instead of one? The result is the same isn't it? Please elaborate as this is very informative..
Is there a modification out that allows the customer to select a different address for each product out? I have looked and have not came acrossed one. The reason I ask is, when I sell gift baskets, I would like the customer to be able to buy multiple gifts and send them to different recipents. Just seeing if anyone has done this?.
I would think you would want to have each of these separate orders, easier for you to keep track of and the customer to keep track of..
Or ask them to specify things in the comments box..
Doing it on one order but to multiple adddress' usually throws up a red flag for the merchant account people...
