That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably know..

I have exactly the same problem and can't seem to fix it either...

I would also like to ask if this might be a bug on the uodated version which is the version i'm running and if on the old version this doesn't happen...

Dude I figured it out,.

In the.

Locations / Taxes section.

Then go to.

Countries.

Then hit.

Edit.

Then you.

Select the zone.

..

By.

Default.

It has.

"All Zones".

Thats why it charges on every state..

Switch it to the state you want to charge tax in (in my case California).

Do this for all your countries,.

And you're set...

Directly below the category "Locations/Taxes" in the admin section there are subcategories; "Countries", "Zones", "Tax Zones", "Tax Classes" and "Tax Rates"..

Click on "Tax Zones".

Click on the "details" button, then click "edit". Now choose your country and zone. Click the "update" button. Click the "back" button, this button will be a little to the left of the "insert" button and away from the "edit" and "delete" buttons..

Now click the "edit" button for the zone. You can now enter a description for the zone tax i.e. "Kansas Sales Tax." Click "update"..

Then go back to the left nav bar, under the category "Locations/Taxes" and click.

On the "tax classes" link. Your value should be "Taxable Goods"..

Then go back to the left nav bar, under the category "Locations/Taxes" and click on the "tax rates" link. Make these settings:.

Tax Class Title = Taxable Goods.

Zone = Kansas (example).

Tax Rate = 7% (example).

Description = Kansas Sales Tax (example).

HTH,.

Go to the admin section > Location/Taxes >.

Tax Zones:.

Click on the State folder or "details" to select zone for the country, your zone would be Minnesota..

Tax Rates:.

The zone should be set to Minnesota.
