I'm sure that they told me... but since I don't eat more than a few things I haven't really comitted them to memory cuz I figure if it's got less than 4-5 gms of sugar per serving and less than 5 gms of fat per serving I'd be okay with the exception being these Steaz Tea's I drink that are 16 oz's and 18 gms of sugar for the whole can and what can I say.... I LOVE THEM and they are my daily treat besides, it really positively impacts how much fluid I'm able to get in :).

Sugar Alcohols... like anything over 1-2 gms/serving KILL ME immediately..

What are the number of sugar/fats grams limit that you are using for a guide?.

Good question... I dunno what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I find an decent answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could answer your Medifast question..

LOL Lu! I am pretty much only eating soft foods and I'm six months out next week. I would eat if it didn't make me so nauseated all the time!.

Yeah... I'm curious what the recommended limits are for Fats/Sugars and I guess Carbs too.

The only real guidelines I've been given so far have been to stick to 60 to 80 grams of protein in 600 to 700 calories, I'm 14 weeks out. I don't really watch fat grams or carbs, but it was suggested to me to start following fiber intake rather than carbs..

A rule of thumb guideline is 14 grams of fiber per 1,000 calories..

Do you track the whole Medifast food thing? I use a program called Fat Secret, I really like it because it breaks out totals by meal and day, but it also gives you a graph were you could see the ratio of fat/carb/protien, that is pretty helpful to me, 600 fat calories probably wouldn't be a good idea :)..

Sugar alcohols don't like me much either, it just depends on the TYPE of sugar alcohol for me. I think my sugar threshold is about 10g and I haven't found a fat limit yet since I don't eat much fat. Once I had a few bites of fried fish and felt a little icky after, but nothing major..

My doctor and nutritionist said to keep single digit fats and single digit sugars. It makes it pretty easy to remember...

I was told no more than 5 gms fat, 5gms sugar, 5 or more gms of protien was the rule of thumb. On the alcohol sugars, that one had me too, so I foundout that you figgure what ever the measure is on the alcohol sugar is, it is equal to half that number in sugar according to how we'd process it and not to get sick.ex: if it is 10 alcohol sugars, it would be equal to 5gms of real sugar for tollerance purposes. So always figgure it in at half of whatever it says and use your judgement on the difference to see if you can tolerate it or not. Good Luck too...
