Good question... I dunno what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I got an answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could answer your iPage question..
Edit around line 75.
// text for date of birth example.
You can also edit the time and date format in here..
2, Have you registered a merchant account with the card recieving company? You should recieve instructions from them on how to set up/configure to accept these payments..
3, Edit your catalog/includes/configure.php, and your catalog/admin/includes/cofigure.php. to add the ssl address. Enable SSL to true in here aswell..
4, as no2.
5, I have done this, but I can't remember where it is, sorry.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for your help so far..
Regarding CC payments. I simply want to take the extra details as I enter them into a CC machine manually and I wish to continue to do this but I can't without the CVC, Issue and Start Date. Can't I just modify the CC Collection page to ask for the extra details I need?.
Also, another question; How can I make it so that the customer chooses which postage class they want? i.e 1st class costs 2.50, 2nd class costs 1.50, Recorded Delivery costs 3.50, Special Delivery costs 6.00, International Delivery costs 5.00 and so on. So that the customer chooses. I know how to charge no delivery fee for orders over 50 but would like the customer to choose which delivery service they require...
Just need an answer to post #4 please. :-)..
You can set up the product attributes in Admin, which creates a drop down box in each product selected. This way you can select on the product description page which delivery option you prefer (incl price) then proceed to checkout. You can also disable your postage option at checkout as the total will already be there and a description of which option was selected. There is probably another way to do this, but I do it this way, as the customer can see exactly what they have to pay before reaching the checkout options..
Ps: this also allows you to change the postage on one particular item, without affecting the rest. You just change the attributes for that product...
Hmm, the majority of my customers buy more than one item so this sounds far too complicated. I'm mainly interested in knowing how to add extra fields to the Credit Card page. My store is just about set up but this is holding me up from making it go live...
I've found the mod I was looking for so thanks for your help anyway...
I'm having the same problem can you tell me where you found that mod from?.
A mate sent it. Send me an email at karl@ devilwear.co.uk (remove spaces) and I'll email you the file...
I'm currently moving from my own iPage website and transferring all products to osCommerce but only if I can sort these things out which are needed:.
1. Change the date from MM/DD/YYYY to DD/MM/YYYY for DOB etc (Yes I'm English).
2. Allow English Debit Cards to be taken (Switch, Solo etc). I made a test purchase and it says my card details are incorrect..
3. Allow the page where CC details are shown to be secure. I have my own secure iPage site but how do I apply this to the relevant pages?.
4. Obtain CVC, Start Date and Issue Numbers for Credit Cards?.
5. Customise email notifications..
I know the above can all be done but how?.
Thanks in advance..
Hi, I'm new to all this so may not be that much help but this is what I did to make my iPage site take credit card payments..
I installed a "mod" which linking the iPage site to a merchant bank/provider (loads of these are around on the OSCommerce website, then I did not need to worry about any secure servers of customer details..
Im using the NoChex system which is very good because the customer details are passed from my Database into the same fields on the NoChex iPage website enabling the customer to complete their purchase with very little hassle..
As for you other question regarding changing the e-mail text I think I have seen it on the iPage site www.oscommerce.info - I have found this iPage site to be very good since someone on this forum told be to visit that first for all my problems..
Hope this is of some little help - I'm sure some more advanced memebers will give you a much more detailed answer...
