I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..
No. As a matter of fact, When I clicked "Confirm Order" it took me to a 2_Checkout page where I had to enter the card info again. Its almost as if it never tried to pass anything from the credit card fields. And After I complete the 2checkout purchase, I'm at a page with no continue, back, or anything buttons...
You might want to do a search on 2checkout as I have seen some threads on some problems with getting it workind correctly. I do not use them myself so I have no first hand knowledge of the problems only that I have seen other have them...
I read about 25 pages of suggestions .... tried 2 contributions ... 3 workarounds ... and it still won't work..
I'm cancelling my 2Checkout account tomorrow and for now, I'm only using Paypal..
Does anyone know of a good payment module that works seemlessly with OSC and doesn't have too high of a startup cost?..
Seamless payment + osC = oxymoron.
Unless you are processing directly offline. The PayPal IPN seems to offer some improvements but it's not w/o problems either...
You know ... I have a question about that -.
I just installed the PayPal module, and set the auto return funtion to on within PayPals pages and everything works fine. It returns the customer to confirmation page, and the order is registered in the OSC admin section. Stock is drawn out and everything..
So my question is ... if it's not broke .... should I fix it?.
What does the IPN contrib offer? I see that it says gift vouchers and things like this but that is really of no interest to me. What DOES interest me, is for all of the shipping info, cart details to go over to Paypal. If a customer doesn't have a PayPal account, they have to go through the hassle of putting all their personal info in..
Does the Paypal IPN contrib help make the transaction more seemless to the customer?..
Yes. I haven't actually implemented it though (wouldn't even know which one, there are quite a few) b/c of all the associated bugs mentioned in the support threads. It's been about a month since I checked the status of the mod though, maybe a new version has been released...
I'm still having a tough time identifying what is a basic contrib, what is an add on and which one I need to install first, etc..
Next time you stumble into that area, think you can give me a link to what appears to be what I need?.
I'd really appreciate it...
I find authorize.net a very nice and seemless integration into OSC. It's a little tough to configure but not too bad. I'm a newbie and I was able to program it so I'll bet anyone can..
Too pricey. 2checkout was $50 to set up and like 4 bucks a month. Perfect as long as you're not doing 10K a week because their % per transaction fees are high. The cheapest auth.net guy I spoke to said it was $150 for startup, $20 a month and about 50 cents per. Thats too much..
Right now I'm just trying to get PayPal to be a little more seemless. I got the IPN contrib working but really nothing changed..
It would be ideal if they could enter the CC info on my pages and just use Paypal as a transparent gateway but we all know that won't happen...
I set up all the products, fine tuned all of the details and I switched my 2checkout module from test to production..
I just placed a live order with my own card .... 2checkout verified the funds in my 2checkout account... the order confirmation page and email came up with the details ... it appears as though the order went through..
OSC is showing 0 orders in the admin panel, the stock is still set to the original like nothing was taken out, and when I visit "My Account" it tells me that I never ordered a product. And the product I ordered is still shown in my cart..
Somethings not right. PLEASE help...
Did you proceed from 2Checkout back to your iPage site after payment? meaning, did you ever get to checkout_success.php..
