I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could give you an answer..

Google.

Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error: 61.

Found.

I was able to resolve this by using the term "localhost" rather than the loopback IP or server name in the mysql_connect() function. Took me a bit to stumble on it, I suspect if you are accessing mysql from php and both reside on the same server you must use localhost as the server name. I noted during testing that localhost made use of the mysql.sock interface rather than the TCP/IP socket. Anyway, using localhost solved it for me..

Try updating both your configure.php files..

Wheres the config file/s located?? thats what ive not been able to find..

The server deffinatly changed. it's not temp, nor is it a distance thing,.

So I basicly just need to know where to change the server url?.

Cheers..

Right found the two configoration files in includes/ and admin/includes,.

And changed the 'DB_SERVER', in both to localhost and that hasn't fixed it..
