Good morning Shams!.

I was actually sleeping when I should have been startin' the thread. I'm still tired, but my son is very chatty this morning. For those of you who don't know, Asperger's Syndrome can be similar to "Rain Man". My son repeats everything he watches on t.v. or from every game he plays. This morning I'm hearing about video game reviews...

Jo ~ How is your daughter doing? I hope she gets some relief STAT!..

It is Saturday, isn't it??? Paul doesn't usually work on the weekends, does he?..

Everyone ~ Be sure to go back and read the thread from yesterday. It actually had some movement in the evening hours. You can find it at:.

Barb ~ You'll be so proud. Hey, do you still have "Don't Quit" somewhere? Wanna post it today? I was sure I had it, but can't seem to find it. It may be time to dust it off and post it again?.

Lori and Ang ~ You'll love it!.

Darlene ~ We were on a roll. Good luck with moving the ginormous cakezilla today. You must be a basket case..

Sandy ~ You're gonna love it, too! Lots o' good stuff, wrapped in with some wacky stuff..

Andi and Andrea ~ Thanks for playin'. I was smiling like a dork all night..

Miss Lara ~ I can't remember where you are. Did you leave for the weekend?.

Erin ~ I know you left for the weekend..

Sharean & Jo ~ Thank you for making a cameo appearance last night..

Dawn ~ I hope we get to see you today..

Heather x2 ~ Happy Saturday!.

Kori ~ I hope you made it to BF's place without a gliche! ENJOY!!!.

I know I've missed someone...sorry. Know that I love you though..

AFM: Thank you all for your support yesterday. I made it through the evening, finished my water, didn't go snacking...probably thanks to Andi; Andrea; and Sandy, as they kept me close to the computer. I didn't want to miss anything. It was a stressful afternoon/evening...I did open the refrigerator at one point, but went for the sugar free jello with a plop of lite topping. That is always my snack of choice, but I sometimes struggle with having only one...

Ok...I'm going to go finish my coffee and watch the news..

I will see you all soon...

You sure remember your Shammy sista's schedules well...He works one Saturday a month..unless they need him more often. With our finances I would prefer he takes any Saturday they ask. I was supposed to baby-sit 2 kids today for parents going out on a fishing charter this morning...In a way I am glad they cancelled, but I really was needing that money for a bill that was due on the 10th.

Oh well. I am just so tired of ALWAYS rushing. It seems I never get a break. So today is nice. Most likely I will be watching my gb's today but cannot go pick them up as I have no gas in my car and no money left. If they need me to watch them they will have to bring them here..

I was going to take them both to visit thier Aunt Angela in the hospital....but she told me last night when I was there that most likely she will be going home today. Hopefully. Can you believe they left 7 stones in her body after removing her gall bladder over a year ago!! No wonder the poor girl was in so much pain. The Dr's kept telling her it was "Phanton pain" since she had no gall bladder. Poor thing..

Anyhoo, I am going to clean up the kitchen...I will be back...

Jo ~ Poor Aunt Angela. That is so horrible. Then to be told it is "Phantom Pain"! Thank God somebody finally paid attention to her symptoms, although it sounds like she had physical signs they could actually see with their own eyes. Did she end up going to the ER because she was bleeding? Am I remembering properly? Remember...I have the CRS (can't remember shxx (stuff)). You oughta here me tell a joke...it ain't pretty. I get it all screwed up..

Boy can I relate to the no money thing. I mentioned in yesterday's thread that DH is not happy with me at all. It's all about money. I think I'm going to have to sell my beautiful car. The damn IRS payment of $1k per month is a killer. In case you have CRS, too...the bank where I worked didn't hold out enough taxes on the severance package I got a couple of years ago and I ended up being short by $50K or so in taxes owing.

Barely.

Make that payment every month if everything stays exactly the same (no surprises; car repairs; birthdays; holidays; etc.). This month, we have 9 "extras" all medical related and Nathan is supposed to have his surgery on the 29th, which has to be paid for at the time of surgery. Social Security apparently paid us $1,170 too much while they were trying to see if Nate still qualified for SS Disability; and they charged me $300+ for Medicare Insurance Premium (should be $110), but they used 2008 Tax Returns which included the one time severance payment of $188K or so. Basically...we're screwed. I'm sure we'll take a hit on my car of about $5K...it's worth $15K, but if we need to sell it quickly, we'll probably have to take $10K..

Oh well...gotta do what we gotta do. I'll put on my big girl pants now and stop my whining...

Tell your DD that the Shams are prayin' for a super quick recovery!..

Ok...gonna go stick my head in the toilet. I said I was going to stop whining...but I didn't say I was going to behave maturely. I LOVE MY CAR!..

Stick your head in the toilet??.

You pregnant? UUGGHH...poor baby...

No, I was thinking that's what pathetic, desperate people do. No?..

However, I got into the bathroom and decided I'll just curl my hair instead. lol..

Did you see how many posts we ended the day with yesterday? We were havin' some fun...I was anyway...mostly at my and Andrea's expense. I think we figured out why there is a time delay in posting here...it's to give you an opportunity to read back what you wrote and say to yourself "do you really want to post THAT?". lol We, of course, figured it out AFTER we waited and then posted anyway. Some pretty funny stuff when you're tired and not thinkin' all the way through...

Ok, curling iron is probably hot...so I'll go curl. I don't know why...my hair is getting so long that it doesn't hold a curl for long...but I'll have pretty hair for a few minutes. No one will see it...but I'll feel good...

BB in a bit. Jo ~ enjoy your unscheduled day of relaxation...

DS just called. He is bringing the girls over ASAP...no relaxation in my day. All good though. Paul gets out of work at 2:00 and he has the van. So if my nerves are shot by then I can pile them in the van and bring them home..

Take a pix of your curls for all of us!!..

Well heck. I hope you've enjoyed the last 30 minutes of alone time. lol I know, we take what we can get..

I'm going to write a letter to my attorney asking (begging) for my non-refundable deposit to be refunded. It's a stretch...but hopefully I can word it so that I don't offend his competency, but can get my point across that he shouldn't have taken said deposit because I had disclosed everything pertinent during the "free evaluation" of my case...he missed it, said everything was a "go" and then 3 months later told me there was a problem. It's $1,099 that I could really use right now. Wish me luck...

On an uplifting note:.

What was Written on the Miners' Shirts?.

When the 33 trapped miners in Chile emerged from underground, at least two dozen of them were wearing T-shirts that proclaimed "Gracias Senor," or "Thank you Lord.".

Christian Maureira, national director of Campus Crusade for Christ in Chile, who helped provide the shirts, said the miners wanted to recognize and thank God publicly as the world watched the anticipated rescue this week..

The shirts had a quotation of Psalm 95:4 on the back:.

"Porque en su mano estn las profundidades de la tierra, y las alturas de los montes son suyas."..

I am agreeing with you that you get your $$$ back...

Cuz you love me and you're not a blood sucking lawyer. lol.

I just wrote the letter and e-mailed it to him. I'll let you know how it goes. I would at least get to keep my car for a bit. Did I tell you that I love it? lol.

Ok, I'm gonna go cheer myself up by watching the news. HA! There I go...crackin' myself up again...

Hey guys...me again. My brother had told me about this organization and I have procrastinated looking into it, but I did so this morning. Take a moment to check it out and see if they have a pick up site in your area. It is VERY impressive:.

For those of us struggling right now...there is no qualification; application; etc. It's priced at more than 1/2 of what you could get the same thing for in the grocery store. It's all fresh; not outdated; stuff no one else would eat; etc..

Much love!..

Yummy, I love mashed cauliflower. I also cut up asparagus, zucchini, peppers, squash and sometimes eggplant. I add salt, pepper and olive oil and toss. I roast in a roasting pan on 450 for about 30 minutes. They are the most yummiest vegetables ever! I adapted from the S. Beach Book!!!.

I copied this from another thread I found. I have not tried it..

Loved reading from last night..

Hope everyone has a good OP day..

Andi - thanks for your thoughts on how you are doing M. I am really scared for how I am going to handle the big M...

Hey guys...a drive by....I am SICK! The wonderful little kiddos I share my days with shred the germs with me! It started with the sore throat ear ache and now today I feel so congested I feel like my head could blow up! I have been trying to clean and o some yard work ('cuz it is sooo nice out) but I have barley any energy!.

We did the Haunted Hayride for DS last night....it was fun, not so scary but still a good time! Tonight I am supposed to go out with a girl friend for a bit....hoping I can make it!.

Hugs to all!.

Loved all the recipe sharing! always good to see, reminds me of things I can be eating-I seem to be someone who eats the same thing 'til I get sick of it and then on to something else!..

Dawn ~ I hope you feel better soon. Tis the season, huh...

The drama will subside...I hope...

Jo, my friend, I had no idea you had this out there. I needed that today and will be spending quite a lot of time on there in the future. Thank you, thank you, thank you to you and Paul..

Love,..

Hey kids...you don't.

Really.

Want me to take you all the way to 100, do you? You know I can do it, too. lol..

Alrighty then...here-we-go...today was a good day as far as sticking to my plan, except for the walking. My hip; knees; and ankles just aren't letting it happen yet. As far as food goes...totally in control!..

Oh my...just realized we're only on #43. Perhaps 50 is a bit more realistic...

Dawn ~ I hope you're feeling better. Did you get to go play with your friend for a bit? I'm guessing not, only because you didn't sound as if you were exactly getting better as of yet...

That does sound good. I never thought of adding stuff to it. I bet that would get me past the "these ARE NOT mashed potatoes" block I put up. lol..

Jo ~ My attorney wrote back and is willing to send me a check for $500. I am thanking God, cuz he didn't have to do anything. I appreciate it very much. DH is not as unhappy as we was. He's not happy...but not as unhappy. lol..

Barb ~ I hope you had fun with the boys today...

Andi ~ I'm guessing you "found something to do with DH today". I hope the two of you had a great day!!!..

Andrea ~ I hope you're having a grand time with BF!..

Lori & Ang ~ We (yes, I do have a mouse in my pocket this evening) sure miss you guys. Can't wait to hear about the trip; the gambling; the beautiful dancing; and the TATTOO!..

Darlene ~ I bet you're resting after dealing with Cakezilla. I hope the ultimate fighters were able to help you with packing it in there. I can't wait to see pics...

Kori ~ I hope you're having a fabulous time with BF! "We" miss you, too!..

Alrighty...I'm going to spare you all of any: singing of random songs; political commentation; drama; my problems; etc..

I hope everyone is having some fun..

Much love Shams!..

42 of the 56 posts today were me. Boring. OR as Captain would say..."yawn"..
