I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could answer your Medifast question..
I didnt have to go on the preop.
But what kind of protein powder are you using? maybe you could be allergic to it...if you are using whey maybe you need to try soy? are you drinking to fast or to much? even pre op this can make you sick. if you are drinking them so fast that your body cant handle it or absorb it your going to get sick...
I am on the.
Too. I get to have 3 to 4 protein shakes, any drink that is sugar free, WATER :) and sugar free popsicles..
I was hard the first couple of days but I am getting used to it..
YOU CAN DO IT, I KNOW IT'S DIFFICULT AND WE WANT MORE, BUT YOU CAN MEET THIS CHALLENGE AND BE READY FOR THE NEXT!!! SENDING YOU A HUG :)..
Don't know if it will help you, but you might try a good chicken or beef broth or chicken or beef bouillon. I found the saltiness of a hot broth soothing. Sugarfree popsicles perhaps?.
It is a big decision, but a worthy one..
I start my protein.
This Friday. Fourteen days of it. Have you been a.
Drinker? You may have a headache from withdrawal. Sorry I can't be more helpful, but I'm with you in spirit, and will be joining you day after tomorrow......
I thought I wasn't going to make it either, the first day I went to bed at 5 o'clock just so I could go to.
And not deal with it, it does get better though. Hang in there, it's worth it..
You can do this. I had a difficult time with the all.
As well but not throwing up. I agree with Lady Geniveve, sounds like you are allergic. Maybe try another brand...
Thanks everyone for all the support. I was not a caffine drinker before I actually gave up all caffine 6 months ago. I am going to go out today to see if I can get a different kind of shake to see if it is that. I know I can do it but it is very hard when I spent all yesterday getting sick hoping today is better :)..
Maybe you can contact your surgeon, explain what is going on, and get some.
.. it is a great anti-emetic. It might help your tummy until your system gets used to nothing but liquids.if it isn't an allergy...
Hopefully by now your vomitting has stopped but It doesnt sound normal. I cant think of any reason the protein shakes would make you vomit. It sounds like you might have a stomach bug that is poorly timed (like any timing is good!) Keep.
Or sports drinks if you cant keep the protein shakes down...
