First question I got is What would be the best free iPage web hosting (SIMPLICITY PLEASE)? Hoping for any answer. Another quick question... Hi can anybody help me. I need to change the current time zone on my shop from USD to GMT. I know this is done in English.php, but the setting I have does not seem to work.

@setlocale(LC_TIME, 'en-ie.ISO_8859-1');.

Thanks.

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I got an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can answer it..

Thanks steve, but that didn't work..

I'm using User Tracking with Admin 1.35 and my times keep coming up as USD. So do my order reply emails !..

Comment #2

Did you make the changes to both catalog and admin..

This is likely because your iPage site is hosted in the US, and would therefore be dependant on the Server Time (which would be US time)..

IIRC, I did post a solution to this ages ago, so you'd need to do a search for it...

Thanks burt.

I found the contrib and this was the solution.

@setlocale(LC_TIME, 'en_GB');.

@PUTENV('TZ=Europe/London');.

@mktime('0,0,0,1,1,1970');.

It was given by nicolaas.

Here.

Thank you again for your help.

@setlocale(LC_TIME, 'en_UK.ISO_8859-1');.

It looks like you are to be setting up in UK so here is some additional info.

English Default.

Catalog/includes/languages/english.php line# 19-45.

@setlocale(LC_TIME, 'en_UK.ISO_8859-1');.

Define('DATE_FORMAT_SHORT', '%d/%m/%Y'); // this is used for strftime().

Define('DATE_FORMAT_LONG', '%A %d %B, %Y'); // this is used for strftime().

Define('DATE_FORMAT', 'd/m/Y'); // this is used for date().

Define('DATE_TIME_FORMAT', DATE_FORMAT_SHORT' %H:%M:%S');.

////.

// Return date in raw format.

// $date should be in format dd/mm/yyyy.

// raw date is in format YYYYMMDD, or DDMMYYYY.

Function tep_date_raw($date, $reverse = false) {.

If ($reverse) {.

Return substr($date, 0, 2)substr($date, 3, 2)substr($date, 6, 4);.

} else {.

Return substr($date, 6, 4)substr($date, 3, 2)substr($date, 0, 2);.

}.

}.

// if USE_DEFAULT_LANGUAGE_CURRENCY is true, use the following currency, instead of the applications default currency (used when changing language).

Define('LANGUAGE_CURRENCY', 'GBP');.

// Global entries for the <html> tag.

Define('HTML_PARAMS','dir="LTR" lang="en"');.

// charset for web pages and emails.

Define('CHARSET', 'iso-8859-1');.

Then Line# 73.

Define('DOB_FORMAT_STRING', 'dd/mm/yyyy');.

Then line# 186-187.

Define('ENTRY_DATE_OF_BIRTH_ERROR', 'Your Date of Birth must be in this format: DD/MM/YYYY (eg 21/05/1970)');.

Define('ENTRY_DATE_OF_BIRTH_TEXT', '* (eg. 21/05/1970)');.

All line numbers are approximates as my code is modified..

Remember to do Admin side as well as catalog.
