Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/languages/.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /hsphere/local/home/undergro/undergroundcomics.net/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 130.

Good question... I dunno what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I got an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could give you an answer..

Pretty sure.. but if I did.. how do I fix it.. I know iw as trying to delete the little image of the flag ... might have accidentally done that....

Can anyone help me.. I think I need to reinstall the languages file or reset this thing back to original settings.. not a clue where to begin..

I checked the Languages folder and Ihave an english.php file and english folder... still trying to solve this...

Anyone?..

I had a similar problem once. Basically what had happened was that when I edited the file it automatically added a / before a special character such as " or /. Check the lines that are indicated in the error message and see whether there is an extra /.

Hope this helps!..

Ok I fixed line 130.. and can now get into the admin screen which I couldn't before.. I went to languages and made sure english was default.. it's set bu ti noticed that none of my little images are appearing.. the edit button, delete button, save, all those imagebuttons are gone .. thats problem 2..

It says there's a problem in line 285.. ther eis no line 285 on application_top.php..

Ok got a little of it fixed.. now i've got this.

Warning: main(includes/languages/index.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hsphere/local/home/undergro/undergroundcomics.net/catalog/index.php on line 33.

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/languages/index.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /hsphere/local/home/undergro/undergroundcomics.net/catalog/index.php on line 33.

It had a / inserted on line 32.

Require(DIR_WS_LANGUAGES$language'/'FILENAME_DEFAULT);.

I changed it to.

Require(DIR_WS_LANGUAGES$language''FILENAME_DEFAULT);..

OK here's what I've done so far but now I think Iscrewed somethign else up.

I made it back into the admin and config page.. finally.. but still having problems getting the online catalog to open.. I get this msg.

Warning: main(includes/languages/index.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hsphere/local/home/undergro/undergroundcomics.net/catalog/index.php on line 33.

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/languages/index.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /hsphere/local/home/undergro/undergroundcomics.net/catalog/index.php on line 33.

Now.. I went back and figured out I had to input the english directory back in since I deleted it trying to get rid of the english flag.. so I typed english into that directory box.. still getting same error though.. and none of my images are showing up such as the buttons like save, delete, edit...

Where should I sart looking now?..

I am a little confused by this. It should not be searching for index.php in your languages directory. It should be searching for english.php. I think you might have hard-coded something somewhere you shouldn't have..

For your image files check config.php (both in the includes and admin/includes directories). This just seems like your config file is pointing to the wrong directory to find the images..

One trick that I used is to check properties of the missing images and see where that is pointing to (i.e. right click on the webpage and see what the source is). It is then easier in the config file to know which line to change. In my config file (admin/incldues/configure.php) DIR_WS_IMAGES is the one pointing to the admin images folder...

Thanks.. i'll take a look at these in a while and see what I can figure out..

Heres my config file in admin.

Define('HTTP_SERVER', ''); // eg,.

Or -.

Should not be NULL for productive servers.

Define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', '');.

Define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', '');.

Define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false'); // secure webserver for catalog module.

Define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', $DOCUMENT_ROOT); // where your pages are located on the server. if $DOCUMENT_ROOT doesnt suit you, replace with your local path. (eg, /usr/local/apache/htdocs).

Define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/admin/');.

Define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOTDIR_WS_ADMIN);.

Define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/catalog/');.

Define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOTDIR_WS_CATALOG);.

Define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/');.

Define('DIR_WS_ICONS', DIR_WS_IMAGES'icons/');.

Define('DIR_WS_CATALOG_IMAGES', DIR_WS_CATALOG'images/');.

Define('DIR_WS_INCLUDES', 'includes/');.

Define('DIR_WS_BOXES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES'boxes/');.

Define('DIR_WS_FUNCTIONS', DIR_WS_INCLUDES'functions/');.

Define('DIR_WS_CLASSES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES'classes/');.

Define('DIR_WS_MODULES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES'modules/');.

Define('DIR_WS_LANGUAGES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES'languages/');.

Define('DIR_WS_CATALOG_LANGUAGES', DIR_WS_CATALOG'includes/languages/');.

Define('DIR_FS_CATALOG_LANGUAGES', DIR_FS_CATALOG'includes/languages/');.

Define('DIR_FS_CATALOG_IMAGES', DIR_FS_CATALOG'images/');.

Define('DIR_FS_CATALOG_MODULES', DIR_FS_CATALOG'includes/modules/');.

Define('DIR_FS_BACKUP', DIR_FS_ADMIN'backups/');..

I am not sure if you deliberately deleted the local host information, but if not then you need to add:.

As your HTTP Server, so the first couple of lines should be:.

Define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.undergroundcomics.net'); // eg,.

Or -.

Should not be NULL for productive servers.

Define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://www.undergroundcomics.net');.

I guess you know that all FS directories are file system directries and require the absolute path info and all WS directories are webserver directories so require the URL.

Also, did you define $DOCUMENT_ROOT anywhere? If not, try this line:.

Define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', 'undergroundcomics.net/catalog');.

Just a quick warning, you mentioned that your iPage site is being hosted with an ISP. They might have setup your iPage site differently to what I suggested above...

All of this was preinstalled when I bought the webhosting... I never touched anythign except accidentally deleting the folder name for english under languages.. that when things went wrong.. most all of the other images work except for the buttons.. edit, save, close.. everythign else shows up... i'll try changing all of this though..

Do you have any customisations that you might lose if you re-installed? If not then the quickest way of fixing this would be to ask your ISP to re-install it for you...

Thats what I was thinking.. I sent an email.. no response yet..
