I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could answer your iPage question..
I may be wrong but you might only have a HTTPS directory thats all, no SSL certificate.
Have you uploaded a file & tried a URL in the HTTPS directory so that you can see if there is a certificate installed ? .
Or there should be some info in your iPage site admin..
I went into the catalog/admin/includes/configure.php and changed the following.. I'm a newbie by the way.......
Define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://anucci.com'); //.
Define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false'); // secure webserver for catalog module.
Define('HTTP_SERVER', 'https://anucci.com'); //.
Define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'true'); // secure webserver for catalog module.
But I got an error. any ideas???.
Also here is the web address to the site..
When I go here with the 's' added it goes to the shopping cart so I guess it's pointed to it? which I dont want..
So overall, how do I enable ssl on anucci.com/catalog???.
Not to sure where to put url??.
define('HTTP_SERVER', ''); // eg, http://localhost or - https://localhost should not be NULL for productive servers.
define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false'); // secure webserver for catalog module.
define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', $DOCUMENT_ROOT); // where your pages are located on the server. if $DOCUMENT_ROOT doesnt suit you, replace with your local path. (eg, /usr/local/apache/htdocs).
Can someone please tell me where to put my url so my admin area can be secured..
YOu have to put the SSL URL in the first variable 'HTTP_SERVER' in admin/includes/configure.php.
What kind of error are you getting?..
My host installed a ssl certificate on my site. so hopefully it is enabled, but I was wondering, is there a way I can see if it is installed?? with a simple php script or what not? would phpinfo(); show it? also on the administration panel, in the bottom left corner it says, that " you are NOT protected by a secure SSL connection ". what can I do to make it secure, cause my host did install the ssl certificate on it..
All you have to do is type in your iPage domain with the.
Then click the little lock to see the cert installed..
To enabe SSL in Admin, change the url in the catalog area of admin/includes/configure.phpIt will secure the whole admin area..
