Quick question: Whats cheaper...Nutrisystem or Nutri system? Thanks in advance for any response. Another quick question... Anyone have any ideas on what to eat before a workout? I'm not sure what to snack on, or have dinner before working out? Last night I made the mistake of working out without eating anything. I was so drained that I was actually shaking from lack of energy...

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I find an anything. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could give you an answer..

That might not be a bad thing....

There are a couple schools of thought. If you eat something with carbs before your work out, you're likely going to fuel the first part of your work out with the simple sugars you've just ingested..

Part of the object it to get to that point where you've burned off the quick stuff and you're getting to the fat burn..

If you're shaking from a lack of energy, then the work out itself may be a little too intense, too long, or you're not hydrating well during the work out. It's amazing how water helps..

Most people suggest doing your protein or recovery assist product after the work out. So... try having a protein bar to lift your levels after..

The only exception to this is running a marathon... never done one of those so all I have is hear-say knowledge...

I work out at 530am. I have my morning carb and a cup of coffee on the way to the gym. The carb made a huge difference in my energy level. I do my breakfast after, and add a protein on lifting days. I agree that hydration is huge..

If you work out in the afternoon, give yourself something before you workout so you have some fuel..

Acoustic, there is no too hard or intense...

I workout at 5.30 am as well but I do it in my basement. No travel time to eat something. I do drink a glass of water after brushing my teeth before I workout. That way my teeth look like this.

While I am working out!..

I'm backwards from everyone else I guess. I workout in the evenings. I'll do my walk sometimes just before or just after dinner, but my main workout (situps, pushups, toe touches, some curls with 10 pound weights) is done 2.5 hours after supper. After my workout I eat my evening snack and warsh it down with 32 ounces of water. I never oversleep after drinking that much water before bed, let me tell ya...

I work out from 6:00am - 7:15am. I drink a big coffee or two, and eat my regular Nutrisystem breakfast. Post-workout I have a can of tuna (3-serving @ 150 cals and 33 grams of protein).

Morning snack I have another can of tuna as my protein (not crappy string cheese, etc ... not enough protein in junk like that) and my fruit..

Rest of the day is normal NS..

I hate working out at night! I can't get to sleep after getting all jacked-up in the gym. Plus my wife goes at the same time and we get to hang out together when we get home from work...

There is only too hard or intense if you sacrifice form... that's where injury comes in..

If my workout is going to be an hour or less in the AM, I have my fruit serving before and then my breakfast entree & protein afterward. In the afternoon/evening, I'll have the fruit snack before and the protein snack after..

You'll need to experiment and figure out what works for you of course...

I think I assumed that..

I think it is funny to see guys in the gym throwing around a bunch of weight with horrible form. Many times, these are the same guys making a show of the workout...
