I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can answer it..
It'd also be a real good idea if he checked the version his host supplied. We all know that some iPage hosting companies provide outdated copies of the s/w in their install routines...
Alright... downloaded a copy and replaced the correct file. Checked to make sure it worked and it did. Then, I went and added one letter in languages/english/index.php, and as soon as I do that, the following error comes up on my main shop page:.

Since I can't edit my previous post anymore, here is my version:.
PHP Version 4.3.7..
You're OK on the vesion. 2.2MS2.
Don't use the built in editor, it strips out important characters, a well known problem. Edit the files locally then upload the edited version...
That's the ticket! Thanks a lot, I appreciate your help...
I recently installed the pre-installed osCommerce shopping cart script through my host. I've got it all working, and I starting adding new products and things. However, as soon as I edit anything on the languages/english/index.php file, the main page of the store won't work. I didn't get to back up that file, so now it's replaced with the spanish version....
I've tried editing the permissions also (in fact, I had to edit them to be able to edit the script at all). Any help would be appreciated...
Download a copy from here and then replace with that file. if it doesnt work, hten you need to download from here, install this version and keep a copy locally..
