I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an anything. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could answer your iPage question..
I sell images. I just took a bunch at Carnaval and I didn't want to have to name them all. I thought the search would find a file by it's exact name. You can view my catalog at www.infrapics.com/catalog, but it's not live yet, i.e., I am still putting it together. Would the search work if I named all the products ?
Not sure what you mean regarding naming all the products?.
Maybe try and create a product without an underscore in the name or a product without a fullstop in the name and then search on them to see if you get a difference.
Failing that I think I will have to leave this for another member to advise..

I changed the product name of one product for testing purposes, but the search still does not find it. How is the search working with y'alls products?..
Even when I search for items clearly in the product description, the search returns nothing. Is there a place where I have to enable the search? I've looked through the admin options and couuldn't find anything. Do y'all's searches work?.
Do products HAVE TO be in a category for search to work?..
Apparently they do. I added them all to a category and the search works !..
I have many products whose names are like img_0X.jpg, however when I search for a specific product name nuthing is returned. Any clues?.
Strange product name - what do you sell and where is your site?..
