Got a question... Where can I find a free iPage web host with my own desired name only? Thanks in advance for any answer. Another question I got... Hi there,.

I would like to make registration simpler on my site. I find a lot of users will register if they only need to provide a name, password and email. But when asked for address, state, city, zip, country and telephone, they feel it isn't worth the time or just leave..

Is there a way to change the required fields for the registration on the website?.

Cheers..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could give you an answer..

Thanks Julianpuje,.

I looked under admin, customer details but it doesn't list address, country, state, etc as fields which I can change..

Which admin should I be looking at to make them unrequired?..

I'm looking for the same info, if someone can help me out.....

Not all the fields can be switched on and off from the admin page..

If you want to add/remove fields not listed in the admin page or change whether they are compulsory or not then you will have to hack the code. This is what I had to do when I was faced with a similar problem..

The easiest way would be to set the required fields in your Admin, the fields would still appear but they would only have to complete the sections you have highlighted in your admin..

You can also remove the fields, but not 100% on how to do this and which ones to change..
