That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I got an decent answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..
Links will help...
As for the sll on the shared it will look like:.
Then you will change all occurences of.
To that above address in your catalog and admin configure files..
But to make sure, try posting links.
It seems that you are talking about the message you are seeing in the osCommerce 'admin' section. It's the checkout and customer account procedures that are behind ssl. To put your 'admin' section behind ssl, add these lines to your .htaccess file..
ErrorDocument 403 https://www.yourdomainname.com/admin/.
This assumes that you have not renamed your osCommerce 'admin' folder to another name, and the file pathway is for a full ssl (amend to your shared ssl pathway)..
Once this is done you will see the message 'You are protected by an unknown ssl connection'..
I have changed my .htaccess file accordingly but I still get the 'you are not protected by ssl error' please help as the customer thinks they have not got SSL.
AuthName "Access for /allthingsnails/shopping/catalog/admin".
Require user ********************.
Any idea what is wrong..
Post your configure.php.
Just so others can take a look to see if it's set up correctly..

I have a iPage site that is hosted by Doteasy. I upgraded to the shared ssl certificate and it still says You are Not protected by a secure ssl connection. Is this something I've failed to do or Doteasy? If it is me, what have I failed to do?.
Thanks in advance...
There are loads of topics related to this!.
If you haven't already, you need to set up your catalog/includes/configure.php and add the SSL address and set enable SSL to true..
This will secure login to checkout..
