First off, Where can I find the cheapest 5000 gigabyte reseller iPage hosting services? Thanks in advance for any answer or 2. Another question... I have an authorize account and I did a test run the other day and I still dont see a deposit into my checking account. What do I do? What happens when a customer places an order? I was thinking that I can ship the item out right away but it doesnt look that way anymore...

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I got an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can help you..

Yes, it showed up in authorize and it went through and I can see it in the reports section saying everything was ok. I contacted authorize and the only info they gave me was that it takes 48-72 hours to go through. But it's been that long...

Hrm...let me share my experience..

I signed on with authorize.net for processing credit cards and got everything set up, iPage site was up and running, good to go. I saw plenty of transactions go through - emails got sent to me from authorize.net, transactions showed up when I logged into the admin there, everything was golden. Then I got my bank statement - no deposits. Good thing I didn't write checks on that account..

So it turns out that someone from authorize.net had visited my iPage site to check out it's security, but had done so before I had my secure certificate set up. They then declared my iPage site insecure. Rather than tell me about the problem, they just let the transactions go through but didn't make any deposits. My money was just being held..

After some phone conversations with the folks at authorize.net and NBS their tech support people were much better educated about the workings of SSL ("no, you have to have EVERY page secure...not just the checkout!" they told me) but I had no money. It turns out the holdup was actually with the processor (Nova). I had my contact at NBS get in touch with Nova and things were finally resolved enough for me to get my deposit. They charged me almost 4% discount rate on those transactions (not the 2.25% that I signed up for) and I still have not been reimbursed for that..

So anyway...sorry about the rant. Call your merchant account folks and see what's up. Now that everything is taken care of, I see my batch deposits 3 business days after the transactions are made...

Oh, ok. Thank you very much! That helps. I will call them up ASAP..

One more question, do you just go ahead and place an order before you get the $ in your account?.

Thanks!..

3 days like clockwork for me for the last 1.5 yrs..

I configured mine to "settle" @ 11:59pm instead of the default of 5pm (I think it was...) Easy for me to track my receipts on a daily basis this way. 3 days later funds are in my bank account...

So would you say it's a good idea to have a certain amount of found in the bank account to place orders before it gos in your checking account so that you can process order faster?.

Thanks!..

Make sure you have the module passing a "sale" value and not just an "authorize" value also. What can happen is if the sale type is set to "authorize" then the funds will basically be frozen on the users card, but funds won't actually be transferred until you manually batch process your orders. This may be a problem, so just double check to be sure...

If that's how you operate yes.... don't expect your funds for 3 days like I mentioned. Also, get into the habit of reconciling every couple of days or every day depending on your volume. American Express for example does not settle like Visa or MC. Also remember that the "transaction fee" will be deducted from the amount that gets swepped into your account...
