First of all Where can you find old-timey recipe cards online for free? Possibly with printed Medifast recipes? Many thanks for any answer. Another question... Hey all,.

I am not wanting pity or advice really, but just needing to vent. I am having a bad day. Wanting to eat everything in sight, what isn't nailed down and even what is nailed down! I am desperately trying not to think about food. Trying not to obsess over Medifast food or use it for comfort or anything else..

This has been a bad weekend. Had a funeral yesterday for my twin niece's mother. She was in a fire last Sunday and didn't make it out. She was my age..

It is also the 34th anniversary of my own mother's death in 1976. She had leukemiaI was 10, so right now I am the same age she was when she died. With the funeral yesterday it is bringing up alot of memories and I am just in one of those moods!.

I am on call and have to be within 30 minutes of the hospital, so can't get out on my bike or can't go very far on it anyway. I am not into football really, and I have never been a fan of Halloween stuff since 1976 anyway..

What I have been thinking about all day is how when I was a kid we would go for Sunday afternoon rides in the car and end up getting ice cream sundaes or banana splits on the way home. (just one of the many reasons I needed GBS as an adult). For some reason, now I want ice cream! (or a glass of wine) I know neither option is healthy or a good option for me, but like I said, it's been one of "those" days and if I wasn't on call, I would probably have the wine and toast my mom, but the cardiologists frown on us coming into work "loaded" and I do want to keep working there. It may not be the perfect job, but I do like getting a paycheck!.

Anyway, I.

Hope.

You all are having a better weekend. It is gorgeous out here in PA!.

That you can sense your Mom's spirit close to you and that she is guiding your niece. Loss is tough no matter where you are in the process, it must be especially tough during this tragic time. Hold fast to your dreams of a healthier you and bask in that wonderful sunlight. MaryM..

Sorry that you are enduring an emotional double whammy. Is there something non-food related that you can do to "take care" of yourself or to comfort yourself? Manicure or pedicure? Call a friend to just chat?.

Whatever you choose, I think you've been handling this great by.

Its a year and one half since I lost my Brother and his birthday is coming up and I miss him a lot. I do sense his spirit watching over me...and in fact one reason I am getting the.

Is to get healthier because he survived and thrived for 15 years after he should have died ....through God's grace and taking care of himself. I feel his spirit urging me to fight for my health. If you get into a quiet place of mediation or.

We all have those days occasionally, but it will pass. Be strong, you have a lot going on right now but it will get better! You've done a fantastic job and I know you are committed enough to that not to give in to these urges. Take care of yourself!.
