My first question is Which diet plan is better weight watchers or Nutrisystem? Thanks in advance for any comment. Another question I got... For the immediate future it looks like I am going to continue to be somewhat sedentary for 5 days a week. Being chained to a desk 10-12 hours a day stinks. I am at 110 lbs to lose right now and for the last few days I have been stuck there. I am thinking there is nothing magical about the number 100 and I am thinking about cutting out my over 100# bonus foods. I wanted to get some input on this and see what the guys think...

Good question... I dunno what is the right answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could give you an answer..

When I was 350+ I found adding the extra fruit and carb really accelerated my weight loss, possibly because it kept me from nibbling on other things during the day. I dropped them when I hit 300 and havent really looked back..

I have seen guys that kept the extra carb and fruit all the way through the program with no problems. Give it a try and see how your day goes. If you find yourself hungry it'd be a good idea to add them back in...

What they said! As you progress on The Program, you'll adjust The Plan to fit you and will find out what works best - for you. If you ever lose focus and start to drift - go back to exact and slavish compliance..

Doing it w/out exercise works. You miss out on a huge part of the adidtional benefits that fitness brings, but it's been done by many - one gal in wheelchair who's had tremendous success comes to mind. It's hard to not be impatient, but time and weight will seem to have flown by when you look back!.

I think it's just a tradeoff of speed of weightloss versus comfort. You can keep the extra food all the way down or eliminate it early. Just don't eliminate it and then binge...

Agree. Adjust based on how you feel...I learned that I could drop the extra fruit/carb very quicky. I'm also at a desk at least 10-12 hours a day - doesn't matter, program still works...

I decided on day 1 to not have the extra fruit/carbs for being in the 100+ club. It might not have been the smartest decision I've ever made. Since then I've learned enough to wonder if I would have lost more. But eh, I still lost at a good clip..

Plain and simple? I was afraid if I got toooo used to the extra food, I wouldn't ever give it up, even after I slipped under the 100 lb to go mark..

As long as you're losing weight, keep doin' what you're doing...

OK time for me to fess-up. I kept the added foods the whole time I was losing. If you have over 100 to lose, the extras really don't count much. However when you're trying to lose that last 50/25 or whatever, it does count..

With this restart, I removed the extras. Additionally, I NEVER exercised. Granted, I'm so much more mobile and do daily chores w/o laboring. I shoveled snow for hours at a time and didn't have a heart attack and/or back issues..

I've believe many folks who exercise a lot add foods to compensate for the workouts. Well a lot of those folks quit exercising and keep eating the extra foods. Guess what?..

Tom: I would leave the extra carb in for now. If you follow the Nutrisystem exercise program you will barely break a sweat. And that is what the eating plan was designed for. Also, you got to 331 doing your own plan (I got to 307 doing my own plan) and you have made the investment in NS. I would follow the program. And I know about being chained to a desk for 10-12 hours a day..
