I should have also asked, what files need amending after I have created the MySQL osCommerce database please ??.
Does the configure.php file need amending ??.
What other files if any ??..
Detailed instructions for installing osCommerce can be found.
After installation is complete, you'll need to delete or rename the install folder for security reasons. Also, you'll need to reset permissions on both config files to make them not writable. Additionally, you will want to implement some sort of password protection on your admin directory for security. I use .htaccess for this, but I understand there is a contribution available as well..
After installation, you may or may not need to set permissions on some of the other files and directories (images and languages come leaping to mind). If you see error messages at the top that say "I can write to this file", it wants to to remove the write permissions. If it says it can't write to the file (usually a language file), it wants you to set write permissions on that file. The error messages are quite clear about what needs to be done...
Trying to run.
And complete all the fields, but when I get to enter the data for the DATABASE IMPORT page, I get the following message :-.
Host 'ANOTHER_DOMAIN' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server.
