My 1st question is: Which is the best iPage web host to create own website? Many thanks for any answer or 2. My other question... I would like to have a light background around every other product in the product listing. Currently listed by column the products just seem to run together with no real separator. Does any one have any suggestions as to how I would be able to get a background color to display on every other product. thanks up front for any help or advice that might lead me to help myself..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I got an anything. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can help you..

No it did not work for me either. the code the other author showed me to change is only on the original product listing page. I use the one for column listing so the code is not there. I never did get it to work, please post if you get it working...

Just to clarify, I tried this change on a vanilla copy of ms2.2 and it works perfectly. So for those of you who are trying to get alternating cell backgrounds on the product listing page AND your not using the column listing display option...this WILL work for you.. Columnar listing folks, I'm still trying to iron it out for us...

Well my deepest apologies, but I am unable to get this to work. I am just not experienced enough with coding to make such drastic changes or additions. Keep in mind, if you are listing by rows, the preceding post will work for you. Sorry I couldnt be more help to those listing by columns I thought this would be a really nice visual addition to break up the product listing pages. Good luck to anyone else who might be trying to get this mod on their site...
