There are tons of iPage online vouchers available. Awesome chance to save dough on iPage now. I suggest you to sign up for their mailing list so you can get their latest voucher codes. They usually release them once a week or so..
Last time I checked was January 2. Since then I did some price changes and some specials. I also changed some descriptions..
I found something changed on the server but am unable to pinpooint exactly what..
It is a shared ssl situation, and I can not access the error logs for this since they are on the ssl..
If anyone is well versed in this, perhaps you could help me?..
Try disabling Fedex but still using UPS. I could never get my own Fedex to work at all. I'm convinced it's a Fedex contribution problem...
This is the same old knowledge, but if you use ipowerweb for hosting, you will never get the 'real time' shipping module working....which is the only disadvantage so far I got from ipowerweb.....
We it is hosted at IPowerweb and it was working on jan 2..
Here is what I did to fix it:.
Reinstalled the cart.
Restalled all the modules, starting with those that make tables in the data base..
Went back to UPS for new access key..
I had suspected Ipower had changed something on the server since the IP to access the iPage site changed, and the host address on their server is/was supposed to be determined by IP. Had I not seen the IP change without change in host, I might have thought I was seeing things on Jan 2, 2004 when it was working and maybe you would have been right in believing it would not work..
The indication of change on the server could mean they moved files, updated their server software or any number of things. My experience with Ipower is when they do this, server permissions change. I host 6 of my own sites there, bplus numbers of clients and have seen quite a lot of things go on there, but then what do you expect for so little money?.
The only thing I can detect as maybe fixing the problem could be read write permissions in the modules or a few files. Upon reinstall and re-CHMODiing etc, and the restoring the data base, then reinstalling the modules, it works..
Ipower does work with shipping, just iPage hosting with an inexpensive host is always tricky..
You can see the shipping in action here:.
Thanks for trying to help and supporting me through this..

I am about to try changing the permissions as you suggested..
Hopefully this will fix the similar issues i'm having..
But as a separate issue, when my ipowerweb iPage site switches to a secure checkout mode, all my images become broken!.
Did you have this sort of problem with ipower and if so, how did you get around it?..
I am working on an cart that has the UPS XML added, and the Fed X 2.02, Master Products 1.1.2, and PayFlow Pro added as modules..
All works fine, until I enable the FED EX or the UPS. Either one will crash when you go to checkout on the first part where it bring in checkout_shipping.php. If I disable both of these, and enable flat rate, it goes through..
Apparently there is a problem with weight driven estimates, OR that both are not reaching the corresponding host of fedex or UPS for estimates..
At one time it worked, so the settings should be ok..
I need help from someone who understands who the shipping modules work, perhaps a programmer..
When did they last work? have you tested along the way, documenting each contribution, what changes were made and how the tests went?..
