Good question... I dunno what is the right answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..
Well it sure looks nice, but, really? no other way?..
Using photoshop you would put all images you want to resize into one folder. Then create an ACTION (show actions) that would resize the image. You then need to record the action for one image (sharpen, adjust colors etc.) then stop recording and close the file. Then, under FILE -> AUTOMATE -> BATCH you select the action you just created and apply it to the folder you put all of your images in. Set it and forget it...
Or you can just get IrfanView (.
) which works great ... and it's free..
One question, does it keep the proportion of the images if you put a definite size..
What I mean is I have all sorts of diferent sizes of images would they all be the same size keeping the proportion?..
What program do you have? I only know about photoshop. If you have photoshop, work with canvas size and then resize your image...
With IrfanView, you can choose the type of sizing, ie, proportional, percentage, pixel, etc...
You can also try a product by.
Called Snagit. It has the ability you are looking for. They have a free download, which is good for 30 days..
It is an awesome little product!.
Thanks a lot for this melissa I ll try it out, I was using MIR.NET it's good for a lot of things, not for this.
It is also good for creating batch watermarks on all your photos..
What you do is set up an image file with the copyright, or watermark you want to use. Then you point the script to the files and select a destination and press the button..
I think 10% of our images needed to redone because the position of the watermark interfered with the image..
Hi all: I was wonderinf if there is any automated way to get all the imagez to the same size without loosing the proportion.
I m sure there must be a better solutiono that one by one.
Please le t me know.
When I was building my site, I was looking for the same kind of automation, but could not find anything. I used Photoshop and made a new file 3 x 3 inches and put my products to fit that box. It worked well, it was a pain, but worth it. You can check it out.
