I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I bump into an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can help you..

Ok, ive deleted the entire Install folder from my hosting. I take it that is enough?.

As for changing the file permissions, I use filezilla to upload all of the files, so is there a way for me to change them using that?.

Easiest way to change the permissions is to log into your ftp client go to that file and right click go to properties and there you have the permissions blacks to check off and for the config files you need to turn off any write/execute permissions and leave it as read only, and you could have easily found this by going through the newbie guide to installing.

Karl,.

The TWO files that need to be changed are catalog>includes>configure.php and catalog>admin>includes>configure.php. These two files contain ALL you iPage site and database information and need to be changed to nobody else can edit them on you. Using your FTP, change the file permissions by making them not writable. Also, remove the install directory as it can also be used by someone to cause malicious damage to the site..
