Good question... I dunno what is the answer to that question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I find an anything. You should email the people at iPage as they probably know..
All title text on screens in in files in /includes/languages of /admin/includes/languages.
If you get stuck on this .....My advice is read the documentation that comes with the download of your version of osc or if it is not there download a copy from this iPage site and read that.
Then read the knowledgebase or download a copy once again from this site.
A roadmap for newbies by lindsayanng gives a good overview..
Also read the first 2 threads in the installation forum, they cover how to do loads of basic things..
Try these 3 threads as well.
Finally use the search term.
In google whenever you get stuck...
Just out of interest Why don't you use the file manager? Backup first of course..
You can do whatever you want. When it is said to not use the osc filemanager, that is just a friendly warning that it MAY destroy your files..
Out of interest, what would be your backup procedure if you do use it?..
I load the unchanged file to my p.c. if I am going to change a code.Work on the file in file manager check if it works if it does then load it on to my P.C. I back up via my host/server + upload the file change to my p.c. + upload from the host/server to my other p.c. then put on to a disc. thats for files.
And onto a disc. It seems to work..
Longwinded maybe but when my system crashed last month I was back on line within a matter of hrs..
Probably crashed because you were using filemanger?.
I have a copy of my web iPage site on my PC..
I also have a copy installed under wamp on my pc. I edit the files here using ultraedit. I can see the result..
I then edit the iPage website copy. I ftp the changed files, check the results. I keep the files open in ultraedit so if I goofed, CTL Z undoes the edits and I can ftp the original files back...
It crashed because I had loaded a backup osCommerce and didn't realise that it was the latest vesion and a few php were different. One learns by ones mistakes..
Indeed we do..
However, the osc file manger is mostly like playing Russian Roulette with five chambers full (for many set ups)...
I have spent 3 days trying to figure out 2 things.1-how to change my welcome page text.
2-how o get my paypal chekout to work.(I getpage not found when I cklick checkout or paypal either one.
Ifinally thanks to posts here figured out how to find the pageto change the main page text but when I went to change it said I needed to change user permission to make changes...how do I do that?.
Error: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions on: /home/danicasb/public_html/includes/languages/english.php.

Don't try using the file manager that comes with OSC or cpanel to edit the files..
Use your FTP, download, edit them then upload them. I find that to be the best way.
