Why have so many consumers chosen Atkins or the Medifast Diet?

Quick question: Why have so many consumers chosen Atkins or the Medifast Diet? Thanks in advance for any answer or 2. Another question on my mind: Other topics will be discussed that may not be appropriate for the easily offended..

Please discontinue reading Tough Love threads if they are going to cause you to become upset..

Medifast is a wonderful program with many different types of support and a fabulous community. We understand that everyone is an adult and this is not a "mean" group. For some of us, we thrive on this program if we have a place where we are held accountable, where we commit to the program 100% and where we have a place to chat with others who feel the same..

What we believe:.

1. Cheating on Medifast is NOT a strategy to get us out of our fat suits.

2. The only way for us to learn about our problems with food is to take the word "choice" out of the equation when it comes to Medifast. Our only "choice" is 5 packets and 1 weighed and measured lean and green a day.

3. We look to those who have been successful with this strategy to continuously remind us about why this way, for us, is the way to go.

4. We believe that, even though we are completely committed, knowing that we have a group that holds us accountable for our actions is both useful and important.

We commit to:.

1. Remove the word "choice" from our vocabularies.

2. Follow the Medifast plan as written, including transition and maintenance.

3. Tell our "inner brat" to shut the H-E-** up and quiet him or her through abstenance from off plan foods.

4. Give and receive tough love without complaining or calling each other "mean".

5. Cheerlead fellow group members as they follow the path to thinness.

6. Make Medifast the LAST diet we ever go on.

7. Check in with the group as often as our schedule reasonably allows.

8. Be honest with ourselves and our Medifast family and to stay 100% OP at all times. We also swear that WHEN (not if) we are having a tough time and feel like we may eat SLUDGE, to come to our Medifast family first and ask for support and help to get us through the struggle..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could give you help..

I'm back... had to make my son breakfast and lunch.. leaving in 10 minutes to drive him to school, getting on the elliptical then showering and off to work... Looks like I might have to work late.. Lots of orders to get out (good thing) but I hate working late.....

Hope everyone has a great OP day.

Thanks for the coffee, MT. It's delicious..

Morning, Cindy..

Up early, hope to feel better from flu/Yuck today..

I wish you all wildly successful days OP. Wildly successful..

Thanks for the coffee MT.

Morning cindy and Beth and anyone who sneaks in..

Oldest is sick so going to run to the Urgent Care when it opens to rule out strep. I am supposed to get a massage but we'll see how long the doctor takes...

Good morning, ladies! MT, thanks for the special Almost-Spring morning roast..

I just put the little one on the bus and, just outside the door, theres a fat robin singing his heart out. Thats a really nice thing on a chilly morning..

Cindy, glad business is good for you..

Beth, I hope you feel better today..

And, Anna, I hope your kiddo feels better, too. Strep is terrible..

Ive already had an adventurous morning, chasing a couple of loose Chili Nacho Cheese Puffs across the floor, racing the cat for them. I only have a bag or two left, so you can guess who won that race. I got a big kitty stink-eye..

Off to the post office, and a quick stop at the supermarket before work. See you all at the office...

Good morning everyone. I was perky and chipper yesterday, but I'm feeling the Mondays today! I should be on the road to work or already at work and instead, I'm sitting here still in my pajamas. Thank goodness for a job with flexible arrival times..

Hope everyone has a great day..

Bethie, I hope you feel better soon..

Anna, hope the kidlet gets better soon...

Good morning all! Life has been hectic the past few days, but good. Cocoa jumped 17'10" at the dock diving competition & won 2nd place in senior division! She is 1 leg away from earning her senior jumper title. If we can get her to jump 20' we can start on her master title..

Being OP was easy even though the event was a sludgefest. DH ate some sludge, said it was terrible, and didn't even finish it. So my Medifast meals were like gold!.

Have a great OP day everyone! Getting ready for work, tonight is my late shift. Boooooo!.

Good Morning TL'ers!.

Here's one for the veterans - or anyone who has lost a good chunk, really. I realized last night that over the last four or five days, while my weight was "stalling" out (234.9, 235.2, 234.9. 234.7), my mindset was stalling out too. I think the weight was a reflection of what was going on in my mind. 235 was the lowest weight I had been since about 2003, so it was really important to me to get under that. But the minute I reached 234.9, it was like my mind just got stuck.

It wasn't that I felt I would go off program, it was like, I felt like the weight wouldn't keep coming off even if I was OP - like I didn't deserve this..

Anyone else ever feel like that? I still have 90+ pounds to go, so I can't afford a lot of that stalled out thinking. I want to understand it now while I'm still in a somewhat familiar weight range - and maybe prevent it from happening when I'm in an unfamiliar weight range..

The good news is, that I released that stinking thinking and I was 232.9 this morning. Thursday is my official weigh-in day and I EXPECT to see 232.0 or below. I'm ready to move on..

Tara - good job on the dock diving and staying OP through the sludgefest..

Penny - you sound so positive and chipper this morning. Good weather helps! Glad you won the puff dash!.

Anna - sure hope you get a massage today and that the little one is okay soon. I almost got a massage while I was in LA because the Ritz Carlton spa was right there in the hotel. I just can't bring myself to expose this body to someone who touches beautiful bodies all day. I wish I could find someone who does massage for obese people. Years and years ago when I was in OA, there was a massage therapist in the program and I loved going to her because I knew she didn't have any expectation. I guess I'll figure it out one of these days..

MT - thanks for starting us off this morning.

Beth - get well soon..

Good morning Cindy, Anony, and anyone else who drops in today!! HUGGLES..

Thanks for putting the coffee on, MT!.

Sorry about working late, Cindy... I've had to stay after almost an hour the past two shifts in a row, which is really frustrating. But I'd rather stay a little later and get my paperwork done than have to come back in to do it..

Beth, hope you feel better!.

Anna, keep us posted on the kidlet. Strep is no fun..

Penny, glad you were able to beat the cat! (Well, to the puff... don't actually BEAT the cat. That might be a tidge excessive.).

Zoe... I am SO with you on "feeling the Monday"... granted it's my day off, but I'm just having a hard time getting motivated to study!.

Tara, good job staying OP... even if the sludge is nasty, it helps to be in the right frame of mind (you know, the one that realizes that the sludge is gonna be nasty... and pointless!... and it was probably overpriced, too.).

TKD... I hope your new awareness of the issue leads to a nice Whoosh! pretty soon! I've never had a massage (or a manicure or pedicure or any of the other stuff I always hear people talking about). Too many years below the poverty level working my way to where I am today... heck, I had a hard time realizing I could actually afford MF... and then feeling like I deserved to spend that kind of money on myself. (In the past, it was always, why spend money on something frivolous when the kids need things.

I decided to turn my phone off last night. I was not on call. There were other OB nurses on call... and I'd had one heck of a weekend already. Since I live right around the corner from the hospital I get a lot of calls to come in to work when I am not the one on call, simply because they don't want to deal with calling in the person who actually IS on call (and is getting PAID for being on call). It's like ending up on 24-7 call without getting paid for it and it's getting really tiring.

I'll get a little flak for it but honestly, I think trying to pull another night of OB would have done me in...

Tracey, I have definitely felt what you described. I've been in a funk since last week and I'm still trying to shake it. For that reason, I didn't even get on the scale this week. I've been scarce around here because I don't want to bring y'all down, but I do read all the posts. I think a lot of things get under our skin without us even realizing it. On my way to my first errand this morning, a car passed me whose license plate read, "SIMPLIFY." It struck a chord with me and I'm trying to use it today..

Tara, hugs and belly rubs to Cocoa! Nice job!.

Ella, although he's a big fat brat, I wouldn't beat Gary (the cat). We rescued him as a stray from my boss' neighborhood. No one claimed him and when we took him to the vet to get him checked out, we learned he was already neutered and over 2 years old. He was a little dehydrated and tested positive for Bartonella (they'd removed a tick), but a round of antibiotics and a good home got him in tip top shape quickly. He's such an attitudinal boy..

I made a beautiful pink pearl ring last night and another pair of great earrings. I'm reading about some different techniques and scoping out some ideas.....

Morning Peeps!.

SO did not want to crawl out of bed this morning. I am just mentally fried I think. Even though I have nothing planned, I think I may take the last week of the month off. It's a 5-week month for us fiscally, which means that week is going to be pretty slow. I may also take off Friday since I have birthday baking to do for my DGD's party on Sat..

Tracey - I think we all feel like that sometimes. I really believe that our mental state does have a profound effect on our weight loss. It's hard to keep the faith and trust in the program sometimes, especially when there is a stall. You just have to keep telling yourself that you DO deserve this, and if you can't convince yourself, then come here and WE will convince you!.

Penny - Oh dear. Are you going to make me sing to you again?.

Shake, shake, shake, Seora, shake your body line.

Shake, shake, shake, Seora, shake it all the time.

Work, work, work, Seora, work your body line.

Work, work, work, Seora, work it all the time.

My girl's name is Seora.

I tell you friends I adore her.

And when she dances, oh brother!.

She's a hurricane in all kinds of weather.

(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) OK, I believe you!.

(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) OK, I believe you!.

(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) OK, I believe you!.

(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) Whoa!.

Off to invoice. No chopped tofu...

Good morning TLers. Nice to see things are shaking in here. Thanks for the wake up song De..

Penny - I'd race my cat for a Medifast snippet too. And she'd lose. She's a rescue kitty as well. I love her dearly. But I love my Medifast more..

I've had stalls at a few pivotal weights. I remember 228 was the worst. <<<shiver>>> Not pretty. I was not a happy girl..

Anna - I hope your pumpkin is not too ill..

De - I'd enjoy taking the last week off of every month.. lol. I hope it works out that you get to this month..

Tara - Congrats to your Cocoa. Good job on avoiding the sludge!.

Waves and hello's to everyone. Has anyone heard from Rachael?.

Today is my weigh in day. I started TOM yesterday and was going to do what Chickie is doing and not weigh in to avoid the sad reality of a 2 lb TOM weight gain. I couldn't stand the wait though. Let's face it, I am not only a daily weigher, I am a twice daily weigher. Anywhooo... I am down 2.8.

Okay, time to work. Have a great day all. Enjoy. Drink your water. Stay OP. And stuff like that...

De- what a voice you have! ;-).

Good morning everyone! I'm back up at work (phew!) My book fair is going pretty well. LOVE my Medifast food! Oh wait, question - the parmesan puffs - any reviews?.

'Mornin' Cindy, Beth, Anna!!!!!.

Hi Penny - Yep, saw my first Robin yesterday - so happy - AND my Japanese Maple is greening and I have 2 crocuses (sp?)..

Hi Zoe! Hi Tara - fabulous job with Cocoa! I'm the nanny for a 5 month old black lab - I swear he's brilliant! Needs training but his owner (a policeman) is too busy. I do what I can, but I'm not a real "trainer". I'm a Great Dane person (I've had 2) and now I have a shi-poo, Gigi, who I just adore..

Hi TK - so glad you were able to let go of stagnant thinking. I agree, it really can hold us back. I know I will go through that in about 20 pounds from now, but this time I refuse to let it win!.

Hi Ella! Good job turning off the phone and taking care of yourself!!!!.

Hi Jess!!!!..

Morning (well, for a little bit longer it is still morning.....

Doing excellent on program but the scale appears to be stuckso I'm just going to ignore the darn piece of metal for a day or two (maybe, LOL). I am not worried about the little stallI know it happens often (does to me anyway) and I know that I'm on program 100%so the weight will come off..

Heading to run errands and maybe treat myself to a summer top, if I find one I like...

Great, now that will be in my head for the next week...

I found this cool new product - I'm sure others have seen it. It's a water enhancer - no carbs, no calories - just flavor in a liquid that you add to your water (or shake or pudding or...) It's made by Kraft, I learned. It's called Mio and it's pretty good. I also just found a free trial online so I'm getting another bottle for free. I just paid $3.50 for a Berry Pomegranate one. It makes 24 servings and you just squirt it into your water.

Melissa, I think the proper word is croci! Ha ha! It's actually either. Croci sounds weirder, though! Your package is in the mail, BTW!..

Penny - I saw that and picked it up at Walmart over the weekend. I got the mango peach and it's pretty darned good. Going to have to go check out the free trial offer....

Shoot. It's on Facebook. Now I'll have to remember to do this when I get home...

Hi Cheri! Wow - you can see goal from your scale, that's too cool!!!!! Great job..

Hi talien - I don't think the third week evil stall monster got me, but it certainly tried. My official weigh day is tomorrow, but I know I'm down a pound... we'll see what tomorrow brings!.

I'm off to take care of my charge, "Sarge". Be back later!.

Thanks Penny!!!!!.

(not very good in the garden or the kitchen!).

Oh and thanks for the link - I just filled it out for some!!!!!..

For those of you who talked about the mind/stall connection, IT DOES EXIST! Ugh, I've stalled out at two points (2-teens, 200.9 or so) because I was freaking out at being at a new low or a number that was important to me. I was on plan at the time but I'm pretty convinced that my freaking out freaked my hormones or something....

Good morning everyone! Must. Drink. Coffee. Having a grumpy hormonal week, but at least I have spring break coming up in 3 more days. Not that I'm counting or anything...

Morning TL's.

Love the coffee and music this morning..

Penny glad to hear you are feeling better..

Beth-hope your ickie is better today..

Anna-hope your son feels better soon and that you are able to get your massage in..

Waving to all those I didn't shout out to and to all those snarking around..

Off to dye the hair. "I'm gonna wash those greys right out of my hair" I think that was song at one time or at least a commercial..

Happy Tuesday...

TKD: first of all, EVERY massage therapist massages obese people. Ive had massages in a variety of cultures, countries, and settings, and have never gotten the teensiest bit of judgment from any of them. Self-love starts now, dear, not when youre at some magic lower weight number..

As for freaking out about a number, when I got below 200 it freaked the crap out of me. I stopped weighing for a couple weeks and wore my old baggy clothes. I just pretended I was still over 200. Lalalallalalalala you cant make me be smaller than that!!! It worked great got me past my freakout. And yeah, I had dropped while pretending I wasnt. Id say, if you feel freaked out by a low number just go into denial and pretend youre a higher number. And stay OP, of course...

Thanks for the free MIO sample link! I'm sick of sweet everything, so having slightly sweet flavor will be a welcome treat!..

Morning everyone!.

I'm at work, so no chopped tofu since I only have a quick minute to check in..

Hope you all have a great day! I'm going to post more later because I have a stall issue too...

You all were busy while I was gone...

Thanks for the concern the rapid strep test came back negative, they did take a long one too. The doc seemed a tad bit concerned about his cough, so we'll see. I think he's just run down for all he had going on the last two weeks between school, extras and Dad being here. He has a debate on Thursday so we're hoping he's well by then..

I love the songs..

I even wrote a blog when I got near 199 sort of about the same thing..

I thought it was wash that "man" right out of my hair..

Happy Tuesday everyone!.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>drive by HI!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.

On my way out to catch a plane to Wichita. Didn't check in yesterday but down another 2lbs. Love me some MF...

But it was GRAYS, too!.

I so remember this!..

You guys scare me a little bit, but I think I might need some tough love. Are taking new recruits?..

Penny - For you.....

Carolyn - What's to be asceered of? <snicker> Welcome..

You got GRUMPY!!! HA! That'll teach you!.

Second verse.....

Shake, shake, shake, Seora, shake your body line.

Shake, shake, shake, Seora, shake it all the time.

Work, work, work, Seora, work your body line.

Work, work, work, Seora, work it all the time.

Ou can talk about Cha-Cha.

Tango, Waltz, or de Rumba.

Seoras dance has no title.

You jump in the saddle.

Hold on to de bridle!.

(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) OK, I believe you!.

(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) Rock your body, child!.

(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) Somebody, help me!.

(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) Whoa!..

Has anyone here seen or worn ear sweeps or ear vines? They're ear wires, almost like a bobby pin, that gives the illusion of multiple piercings, or just an interesting adornment... I think I may try my hand at a pair or two...

I haven't checked back in after introducing myself, but have been 100% OP and lately have even been drinking upwards of 160 oz of water a day. Still shrinking and still thrilled..

TODAY is special though...SOMEONE NOTICED!.

No one had said anything to me about my losses since I started except my husband and my sister but it doesn't count because they knew about MF..

But today a totally random person completely made my day..

I was beginning to think I didn't look any different..

I am doing it for me not anyone else, but the compliment felt SO nice..

Today is a good day..

I feel like you guys have a dungeon somewhere you will stick me in if I fall off-plan. Then I'll be chained to the wall and forced to only have Medifast vanilla pudding and peach tea until I have atoned for my sins...

Carolyn, now who told you that? We need to know..

They swore they wouldn't speak of it..

There really isn't an option for falling off-plan. Come here first. We'll talk you right off that edge...

Hi Carolyn! I don't think we have a dungeon, but I'll have to check. De would know! But this groups is definitely commited to staying on plan, and if you read through the front page, the idea is that you come to us BEFORE you fall off so we can help you!!!!.

Shoot! Penny beat me to it!.

Are those ear vines? They're pretty cool, whatever they are...

Hi Amber - feels good when someone notices. I wore a small pair of pants today and someone said something, but it doesn't count because they know I'm on MF!.

Hey Karen - have a GREAT trip and WAY TO GO on the loss!.

Penny, not sure about the multi earring thing, but some people love it! I tend to be a bit more conservative..

Waving hi! to everyone. Haven't heard any comments yet DOES ANYONE LIKE THE PARMESAN PUFFS??????? I'm scared to try them... Please let me know!!!!!!.

All I know is my way is not working. I go off plan and get lost for months. Months!! It needs to stop. So I'll try the Tough Love way...

, I like the parm puffs best as substitute salad croutons!..

They're not bad Melissa. I will often use 1/2 for my afternoon meal and crush the other half to use as a coating for fish or chicken..

Carolyn - Well, you've definitely come to the right place. This really is a great group of people that will give you all the support you need to get to your goal. Stick with us, avoid the sludge, and it will happen. 100% really DOES work!..

Melissa, what if I made them with pearls?!.

I agree that Parm Puffs are just like a mildely seasoned crouton. I PINK PUFFY HEART the Chili Nacho ones, though. Just ask my cat...

Library - so they're good, but not straight? hmmm... I'll have to think about it - I don't usually put anything in my salads..

Stick around - a lot! I think that for me (and I am gutter sugar/food addict) accountability is everything - so being here, every day, keeps me honest. It helps that I love the food and for me it's fun to eat brownies and lose weight. And where else do you hear so many successes? I never hear these kinds of successful weight loss stories on other plan threads! And I'm dead serious about this being my last "diet" - I'm just done with the whole darn thing - I want to get to goal and learn how to maintain more than ANYTHING else..

I'm off to see if I can make a mad dash through the hobby shop before flying home to meet the little one. Dinner at the 99 tonight. Love their new menu items!..

Thanks De - I like the coating idea - I'm going to try that!!!.

Penny - you are too funny - NO.

Wouldn't wear them if they were pearls, but my daughter might ;-) !!!!! And is a big pink puffy heart MORE love then a big red puffy heart? I'm confused!.

Hey De - I thought you guys got rid of the dungeon? Right? You did, right?.

(Melissa cowering in corner, holding a smores bar)..

Amber, congrats on your compliment - that's awesome!!! Nothing like the first one, eh???..

Melissa, I eat the puffs plain as a meal. I like both flavors..

BUT, as with any MF'in food, you must try for yourself. Order a sample if you're askeered, or just put on your big girl panties and order a box. Worst that can happen is you have to eat 6 more over the course of the next several months, and in that period of time I promise you your taste buds will change anyway...

:-) Hi Freya! I have them in the Medifast food pantry - they just came today. I just wanted some feedback first! I'll try them tomorrow at 2:00. I hear you on the tastebud change thing - I'm sure that's true. The only thing I don't like at this point are the fruit & nut bars... YUCK! But I returned them and Medifast is sending me more smores bars. So happy!.

Does anyone else forget to eat? Whoa! I can't remember the last time.

Ever happened!!!!.

I got a box this order and I really don't like them. They taste like really salty medicine. I have to choke them down with a flavored drink to chase the taste, water isn't enough..

But, you can now order 1 packet at a time online for 2.50! So sampling is a lot easier..

Edited to add: uh-oh, just saw the post above mine, so you already have them!..

Hehehe. <snort>Yeah. Riiiggghht! I mean, of COURSE we did......

Re the parm puffs. They are fine to just munch, but are a bit on the bland side. Actually, that's my lunch today. I agree with Penny that the Chili Cheese have more flavor tho. And as for the not eating, I am the queen of forgetting to eat! Although, I notice that it's not so hard this time around. Could be because of my new meds.

Last time and through maintenance I practically had to force myself to eat...

I like the parm puffs, I also sometimes eat half then use the other half for "breading"..

I love them! They make a good coating for chicken too. I'd have half a bag for mid-afternoon meal and save the other half as breading for my chicken at dinner (MF shake and bake!)...

I forget to eat on MF, too. I.

Forget to eat if I'm not dieting. Go figure..

Melissa, you may love the parm puffs. Everyone's different..

Right now I am working my way through meh (for me) food that I got free from a friend who wanted to try Medifast but then got her plans nixed by her doctor. She has kidney issues and he said nope. So she sent me oodles and oodles of peach tea, tropical punch, cranberry mango, every pudding under the sun, some soups and scrambled eggs. I'm trying to balance 3 meh packets with 2 packets I really like because that is $400 worth of food she gave me!.

Gotta go teach a class...

GRRRR. lost another post and I'm too lazy to retype it all. Short version:.

Dad. neck surgery. good. coming home. lots of hot doctors. stayed OP at hospital..

Me. new pants. bro said I looked like I had saggy diapers in the old ones. brotherly love. gah..

Beetlejuice songs. love. don't love party in pants song..

Hello all...

Carolyn: 100% or you'll me me in the dungeon. Don't tell us about any slips, no details about foods you've just eaten, no excuses-none..

We're serious here and we will kick your ***..

You are an adult. All the choices, each and every one, are yours. Only you can choose to be OnPlan or OffPlan. If you're not serious, we can't be your backbone or your "NO!" muscles for you. Life does not work that way..

You received a $400.00 gift. If your friend is tooo sick to do this program, show her how much you appreciate her generosity, and succeed OnPlan..

That's Tough Love..

You may want to ante up as well: give her $100.00 for each week you don't lose weight..

That's Tough Love..

Hope you enjoy the journey here..

I wish you all the success in the world. It's yours anyway. Just take it..

Ok, half for meal and half for coating, I like it! Thanks everyone!!!.

Oh, I've just had another general plea fro Kindness directed at me. This time by Irishgirlnc, the former the famous one by lawchick..

Wow, vanity sizing is... gosh, I don't know what to write. I have date #2 with a dude tomorrow night and I went shopping for a flirty date shirt because my closet is a wasteland now. I found one passable shirt but I'm going to head out tomorrow to see if I can find anything better. Anyway, I bought a lace camisole to wear under sheer clothes in a size SMALL. I have a medium frame am 5'5" and 179 pounds with big b00bs. Size small?? At goal am I going to be a size XXS???..

Thanks for the Tough Love,.

Maybe it will work like AA for me. Finally..

I'm trying to decide whether to keep my ticker at where I started last Wednesday or where I started last May ....

I guess you will be an XXS,.

! Enjoy your date...

Thanks LibraryGoddess! I hope the date goes well tomorrow. The first date was a 3 hour coffee date so I'm looking forward to the next date. He's only the second guy I've met since doing online dating so I've been pretty happy with the experience..

However, my clothes shopping experience has been a bummer. I'm glad I no longer have to by BIF clothes (because it fits), but man, the styles are not jiving with what I want to wear. I spent a couple of hours at the mall today and couldn't find anything that wasn't dreary winter colors (I'm so over black, gray, and navy blue), big baggy 80's clothes (no more mumus for me!), or work & super dressy clothes. All I wanted was one frilly little date shirt. Sigh. Poor me.

Poor me having to give away all my too big clothes...

*snicker* Poor poor Sassy! *crying a river for you, dear*.

I want to dispute your assessment of black and gray as dreary. I am soooo adorublez in black and gray. But I have a tendency to put a little black/gray sweater dress with a gray/black drapey sweater, with gray argyle tights with contrasting shape/color gray argyle ankle socks and chunky-heeled librarian shoes. The whole effect is chaotic and impish, if I don't say so myself. I lurvs it..

So you can rethink black and gray as fun, if you let yourself have enough fun in the hosiery department...

Ok, seriously, where does Medifast come up with the product pictures on the site and on the food boxes? I just mixed up so "iced tea" and let me tell you, it is NOT a clear liquid! Looks more like... yeah, nevermind...

Here's the thing fellow Pacific NWer-I need SUN and COLOR. I do love slate grey and black (still think navy sucks) but my entire wardrobe is filled with it. I think my sudden change for wanting color for my date tomorrow night has more to do with my wicked PMS and wanting it to be summer than actually not liking the colors..

*sniffle* Poor me...

Librarian shoes? <perks up> What are librarian shoes?.

, the ice tea is, uh, special. I actually like it better hot, but I tried mixing it with real hot tea and it was a mess. It got super clumpy. I've discovered an oddity about the Medifast teas in which if I run water through my coffee maker at work, it's the perfect temperature to mix it with the Medifast teas for some clump-free "hot tea." It's the only method that I've found that works in making then tasty as a hot drink!.

Tomorrow is my first official weigh-in since getting back OP..

Off to go CrossFit. Anyone else here like to work out and what do you do for exercise?..

Hosiery, I tell you. Bright enough tights, such as clouds, or stripey tights, or Jessica Simpson floral things, will cheer the dourest black outfit. Or socks from Claire's. Pink and black stripey socks with pink fluorescent skulls on them..

Just let your inner 12-year-old make half your buying decisions and you're all set...

, here is another good excuse for wanting color - to celebrate Youth Art Month!.

I usually wear black, black and more black myself, but our art department has us wearing primary colors today, analogous colors Thursday and all of the colors of the rainbow Friday! It was kinda fun picking out an outfit with color..

Really gotta go pump some iron now. Ta ta!..

Awesome. I'm gonna have to hit the mall like it's 1987...

Freya- I completely agree!!! I just can't wait to be able to fit all of them!..

Yeah, it was a FINE FINE day the day I realized I could wear S/M tights. *massive light bulb* ZOMG I AM IN THE SMALLEST SIZE OF A THING!!!! Wearing the smallest size meant I didn't have to just buy a couple items and wait for goal to buy more..

Guess who has an obscene amount of tights? Me? Are you guessing me? Good job...

Seconding the vote that fun tights can make an outfit. Here are some examples of what I've worn to brighten otherwise dull outfits:.

Also bright shoes can help.

Do you have a Target nearby? If so - go get this dress (warning you will be a small because they run HUGE) and have a great date..

Hehe. Love it, Freya!.

Sassy- Let's see, in 1987 I was... Yeah, probably shouldn't go there. I love being one of the young'ns for a change! I'm (STILL) in college right now, so it's nice to feel *only* 25 instead of old (which I am when surrounded by 19-year-olds)..

Caroline- It's actually not too bad! It took me a while to get it really mixed up, but I did it. I have a tendency to be overcome by fruity drink flavors, so I did what I do with CL or anything else- I just doubled the amount of water. Then, once it was all mixed up I added about 6 or so ice cubes (the big ones, like from an ice tray). It's super cold and nice to sip on. Like drinking flavored water!..

Okay, you'd be SOOOO proud of me! Well, I'm proud of myself! There's this person at work who is a lunatic that I have to work with. She's seriously irrational. It's useless to try to use logic with her. She makes my job so much more difficult. Anyway, had a run in with her today and I completely stood my ground, put her in her place, and turned & walked away from her..

She went directly to my boss and complained. But I had already had a coversation about her with my boss this morning. So, my boss totally had my back. In the past, I would've eaten complete sludge to put up with the stress, but NOT TODAY!!! 100% OP and I'm going to the gym tonight too!..

Hey all. Been MIA. Things are kinda crappy right now. Staying OP though. Wanted to check in to say hi...

Hey Connor... Hugs for you, girl. Sorry it's crap..

You care to unload about anything? We're always in favor of unloading. Just ask all of the smart ones who bought stock in Smooth Move tea.....

Kittygirl: I am really proud of you!.

There is a strong correlation with how much we allow ourselves to be displined OnPlan and the amount of backbone we develop and use in life..

You stood up for yourself two times today. I am extremely proud of you!.

Keep up the great work 100% OP..

I finally unloaded this morning, and I know I feel better! Ohhhhh, you meant unlaoding EMOTIONALLY. Got it...

Jess - you made me smile!.

I kinda unloaded last Thursday. At work. During a meeting. And then walked out of meeting. And might have hurled an expletive at a coworker in the hallway who was supposed to be in the meeting..

And now...I'm just drained of all emotion...

For this librarian, that's heels. Or cowboy boots. Or some beautiful brown suede knee high boots..

Connor!! Good to see ya lady, sorry to hear it's been tough...

Yep. That about sums it up. What else is there to say, right? Besides apologizing profusely to my coworker, who thank GOD is a "I'm a duck" kinda guy, and also happens to be a good friend...well. Oopsies. The worst part? It felt GREAT. But I'm disappointed in my lack of professionalism..

Hi Steph!..

So does dating felons, dear. So does dating felons.....

Where's the like button? Sometimes you just need to let it out. I'm the one that's always 100% professional just wishing I could do something like that...
