My client wants to make the basket expire or not hold onto it's contents once the cutomer has logged off without proceeding to the checkout to buy them..

Does anyone know if this is possible and how I could configure it..

Many thanks..

If you really want to do this, find this code in catalog/logoff.php.

$cart->reset();.

And replace it with.

$cart->reset (true);.

Hi Jim,.

Just tried this and the ietms are still in the cart after loggoff, have tried clearing my cookies, cache etc as well..

Is there anything else I can try?.

If the customer is not logged in, osCommerce still saves the cart in the session. To completely get rid of everything you need to destroy the session as well. Add the following after the cart reset:.

$_SESSION = array();.

Iif (session_id != '' || isset ($_COOKIE[session_name()] ) ) {.

Setcookie (session_name(), '', time()-42000, '/');.

}.

Session_destroy();.

The usual warning against untested code applies..
